I'm trying to make a Carnage clone that someone posted but it doesn't taste right! (I know clones aren't going to taste exactly the same) I used Gummy Candy instead of Swedish Gummy - Will this make a massive difference? The recipe is; 6% Red Licorice 4% Swedish Gummy 1% Strawberry ripe
Any help is appreciated!
I can't speak to the gummy candy, but I made a batch of the same recipe and it's spot on. You really taste the Swedish-ness after a shake and vape, but after a 48 hour steep, she's pretty spot on. I have a bottle of Carnage and was doing side-by-side comparisons. It would be nearly indistinguishable if I weren't hauling on the original in the other hand. Two friends tried and one of them couldn't tell the difference.
Odd. I thought it was pretty far off - Also has a pretty crazy throat hit... That said, it is pretty delicious, but far from a 1:1 clone. I'm trying to tweak it myself, see if I can't get it a bit closer.
just wondering, do you have any other great recipes? I have found a few on here but not sure which ones I can trust will be worth buying!
Not sure if you are aware, but you are leaving top level comments instead of replying to others' comments as it seems you are intending to do. Not only will they not see them unless they click back on your post but there is no way to even know who you are talking to.
Lol. Swedish Fish is WAY different than Gummy Candy. I personally didn't like Gummy Candy at all. Tasted like Lysol to me. Get the Swedish fish. It's a couple bucks from Wizard Labs. That Carnage clone is amazing. I've never had Carnage but it tastes just like the Red Vines candy. The only alteration I made is that I used only 5% Red Licorice instead of 6%. I've tried it the other way and preferred mine better. It also works beautifully as MAX VG (no additional PG added outside of the flavorings) in case you drip.
