So I just opened my sample of Zemea. I made 3 test batches. I'll write more on the use in recipes when they are steeped.
Now for my first impressions.
A lot of people have said that it is sweeter then pg. I didn't notice that. It has no noticeable smell. It is also very clear and thin. Again these are just first impressions.
I'll do a side be side comparison with pg later (after the kids goto bed) if you all would like. And as I stated before I'll write more when the test batches have steeped.
interesting. so what are the pro's and cons of zemea vs the normal pg/vg mixes?
Supposedly zemea carries flavor like PG and produces vapor like VG.
I don't know about the vapor production, but 5 Pawns started the zemea in e-juice thing. They did it so PG sensitive people will have an alternative. I don't think vapor production had anything to do with their reasoning.
> The new PG‐alternative line will deliver the same legendary flavor profiles that Five Pawns is known for, while offering an alternative to people with PG sensitivity. The new line of vapor liquids will also solve the flavor problem for those who have sacrificed taste in pursuit of greater vapor production.
> “There are two segments of the vape fan base that have been asking for a PG-alternative -‐ but for very different reasons,” said Five Pawns Founder, CEO and Mixologist Rodney Jerabek. “We are proud to be the first in the vapor industry to provide a PG‐alternative vapor liquid that not only addresses those who experience an irritation to PG, but also delivers a phenomenal taste experience for those who want more vapor production from their vapor liquid.”
Isn't Zemea just PG? They state that it's propanediol, but no which one... Wikipedias propanediol... It could be 1,3-propanediol though.
