For me quality is the most important factor in my decision making. Vaperstek and CarolinaXtract are at the top of my list. Good list tho, for many people it will come in handy.
In the 120ml category (which is what I'd suggest for the casual DIYer who vapes 6mg or under) both of those are actually quite reasonable. VT is $20 from either their site or Bull City IIRC with the potential for free shipping if you're also placing a large flavor order, CXTC is $15 with $7 shipping IIRC for their 120ml "sample". I vape 3mg at around 10ml/day, so a 120ml has the potential to last me over a year (if I'm not making for friends or selling or concocting a lot of recipes I'm only going to vape a little of, etc.). There's absolutely no reason to "cheap out" on nicotine when the margins of difference are so low.
Ive been slowly getting into local sales, i didnt want to but i have enough nic and flavorings to last me personally for many years. I do believe that if i were to setup a webshop i would have to continue to use one of these two companies simply for the purity.
@3mg i have enough nic to last forever as i went a little nic purchasing crazy awhile back, it happens, hehe.
Trying to find the cheapest place to buy a toxic chemical? Man, what some people will do to save a few bucks blows my mind. Buy from the most reputable vendor, not the cheapest. Nicotine is one of the few things to never cheap out on.
Yeah but higher quality might not be a desirable trait.
Some of the better nicotine suppliers sell better quality nicotine but with a reduced throat hit.
Gotta balance the pros and cons. Of course nicotine from a vendor that has been around a while should still be safe as far as getting nicotine that isn't laced with lead or something. It might be lower quality and have a different taste but it should still be nicotine suspended in the usual stuff. Maybe watered down if you buy from some place nobody has heard of though. But you never know. I don't really have a mass spectrometer handy to find out.
You shouldn't but Nicotine based on price. I vape 6mg, so the cost is almost negligible for me.
Nude Nicotine is the only place I've tried so far. I didn't feel the need to order from anywhere else. Their nic has no smell, looks almost crystal clear, comes with detailed analysis report ND they're very transparent about their formulation process and environment. They even include the analysis report of the pg/vg it was mixed in.
The people there are very knowledgeable and very enthusiastic about their craft. It's always fun to talk to Jake at NN.
They have an amazing customer service too. They are here on reddit.
Because of my laziness I needed to place a rush order. Chris had it shipped within 2 hours of placing the order. USPS dropped the ball by delivering in 4 days instead of the usual 2, but Nude went above and beyond for me!
I think I'll stick with nudenicotine regardless of cost. Their tests and quality assurance, is what will make me a loyal customer. And because of it, I'm tempted to try their flavors, etc.
This sub flips back and forth on NN I never know what to believe
Personally I don't think I'll use anything other than nudenicotine. Have never tried a diff vendor but personal use and our business use goes through Jake. Price was never a driving factor to me.. The quality always was haha. /u/nudenicotine you guys are great Jake is the best; customer service beyond perfect. Been a customer for a long time most likely for life :)
I usually buy nudenicotine, but I have used ecigexpress and they are pretty good. I did take advantage of a sale at heartlandvapes (where I usually get flavors from) and picked up a liter of 100mg for $44+shipping. Can't beat that. I haven't tapped it yet, as I still have some nude. Will probably report when I use some. It came with an msds so I'm pretty happy so far. :-)
I'd be interested in something done like this for flavorings or base... I've been attempting to find some time to go through the big names around here and try and piece together where to order about 1-2 liters total between PG/VG for me and two friends to start experimenting DIY. Because that's the kind of research I like to do before spending any money like this. We're trying to keep the total cost around $60 for starters and I already realize that won't be possible to do average 15% flavorings into 2L of juice. 300ml of flavorings feels like a lot for a first blush order ('m sure many could offer anecdotal advice to the contrary though...).
I'm not looking for a knowledge handout because I have reviewed the sidebar and will continue to reference it as I pull this order together. I'm just wondering if anyone happens to have any sort of breakdown detail like the above only for bases or flavorings that might not have made it into the sidebar yet. This is the kind of detail I like to do my math against, I've just not had time lately with a large list of honeydo's from the missus taking up my time. :)
I don't think the 50mg number is enough to kill someone or at least anyone botherig to make efluid on their own. Every time I try to find out how much it takes I get taken to the same articles about how a study from like 200 years ago was done by scientists on themselves then reviewed later on where another scientist came to such and such conclusion.
Being tolerate helps. being a pet or small child doesn't. Weight is a factor too.
In another article there is a case of someone drinkig a 30ml or so bottle of 24mg nicotine and getting really sick and nauseous but being fine after.
But yeah. Stay away from the pure shit unless you know what you are doing. A little bit will kill you.
