What are some of your favorite ADV's, that don't give you vape tongue in a short period of time?

I'm getting tired of losing the taste of my juices.

Honestly it's hard for me to lose the taste of /u/fizzmustard's Mustard Milk.

I drop the TFA Strawberry by 1% and sub it for 1-2% TFA Marshmallow- I can vape it for daysss before I'm tired of it. All credit to /u/fizzmustard! Kudos!

I find myself tasting the strawberry less after awhile, but almost all the recipes I use have tfa strawberry so it's probably that.

That sounds good. What does the Marshmallow do to the mix? New to DIY so I'm trying to absorb as much as I can.

Also, how long do you let this steep? I mixed up a 70vg 30ml about 4 days ago and I just now started on it - loving it, but not sure when it hits its prime.

Buy Marshmallow. Use it. Know it. Love it.

Marshmallow is commonly used to add sweetness, and it also gives a nice "moist" mouthfeel. It's not a sickly-sweet kind of sweetness though, and not as sugary or nausea-inducing as real marshmallows. I use it in a lot of my recipes, and it's a good way to layer sweetness so you don't end up tasting just sucralose or just EM, or whatever sweetener you're using. It's good to learn what some of the flavors are that have their own sweetness, so you can combine them instead of going overboard with a single sweetener.

Two of my biggest revelations were 1) stop using so much damn flavoring (I try to keep it under 20% total, but a lot of people won't even go much above 10%), and 2) layer sweeteners: it can really take a juice from "meh" to "oh, so THAT's why the commercial stuff is so good!"

Wow, thanks for the explanation. Good info.

I'm obviously trying out a lot of the popular clone recipes to start with, and having pretty good results thus far. But I've seen very few, if any, recipes that use multiple additives or layer sweeteners like you're suggesting. That makes it tough to learn by observation, whereas flavor profiles and interactions can be gleaned by studying a variety of recipes.

What would suggest? I have a huge flavor catalog already, with Marshmallow, EM, AP, Vanillin, MTS and a few other additives.

85% vg 3mg nig with just a tiny hint of Apple goes in my adv tank. I save stronger flavors for my dripper in the evenings.

RPRY4 - solid but mellow ADV. I prefer maxVG and adding 0.5% of w/e nut I feel like that week. Flavor grows with steep, vapeable right away but better after 3-5 days.

I came here to post this, but you beat me to it! This is a great recipe -- not my favorite, but it's perfect when you just don't feel like vaping the same flavor profiles that you normally turn to

I've had luck using TFA peanut butter 10% and TFA marshmallow 10%. The peanut butter is very loud in this vape and doesn't die out for me at all. One of my first mixes, and haven't gone back to re tweak it.
