Thoughts on American Weight LB-3000 for larger batches of juice?

Hey there,

I have an LB501 at the moment and I find it to be fantastic. Has anyone used the heavier rated LB-3000 to mix larger batches of juice? Is it accurate enough to do the job while my juice business grows or should I invest in something a bit more industrial grade?

How big of batches are you talking?

I'd like to make batches of 1500g - 2000g

Depends on the accuracy of your batches. A +-0.1% accuracy on a 1.5kg batch would be 1.5 grams. So a scale that reads has a 0.1 resolution fits in that window. Math is your friend ;D

Ok I took the plunge and bought that bad boy.. if it works, I've saved myself a few hundred $$ and if it sucks well .. it sucks..

If you use your LB-501 for batches that match its capacity and the LB-3000 for the ones that exceed the capacity of the LB-501 you should be fine - 0.1g precision at >500g should be fine, and if you go higher, even better :)

I use the 501 for flavor bases and single bottles and the 3000 for larger batches.
