TFA Banana Cream VS LOR Banana Cream
submitted over 10 years ago by KeggsNAMixologist

Am I the only one that prefers TFA Banana Cream over Lorann's version of it?
LOR's tastes like the banana runts to me and doesn't really have much of a 'cream' aspect to it, while TFA Banana Cream reminds me of my mom's banana pudding she made while I was growing up.
Just curious on everyone's opinion as I see LOR banana cream used a lot more than TFA banana cream.

There's really one reason why it's on the first flavors list; 'Nana Cream clones.

LA is better in bright, fruity blends; with apple, pear, strawberry, blueberry.

TFA is better with creams and basenotes, like graham cracker, cookie, hazelnut, etc.

I actually got LA to try nana cream but also to try botboy141's nana pudding and it calls for LA. I made it with TFA and it was really good. Any reason you can think of for using LA in this type of situation(banana pudding)?

perhaps to give more of a banana flavor than cream to the pudding. I'm guessing there was plenty of cream in the recipe, and he chose LA to bring banana to the front.

Thank you for this, seeing where each excels in certain categories certainly helps! Makes sense with my flavor testing as well!

I love TPA's banana cream. It's candy like as well, but it's soooo good.

They're both good. Sometimes one works better than the other in certain recipes. I like using a little LA and TPA together. 0.5% LA and 2.5% TPA, for me that's the best of both worlds.

I actually just got in two 4 oz bottles of Lorann's today. I bought a lot of it because I have heard so much good stuff about it. I have been using TFA Banana Cream though and I really really love it. I haven't tried the LA yet but will post results afterwards. I am actually thinking of combining the two together. I am surprised so many people like it if it is more like runts because I didn't think people really wanted that type of flavor...

I mainly use TFA Banana Cream because I am addicted to my banana pudding recipe. I have lorann's but havent used it much.

Lots of flavors I don't have in that one yet, my vape budget is going to suffer. Thanks for this!

What does the pear and apple do for the banana pudding?

Pear sweetens up the banana flavor. You won't even be able to taste it. Apple Pie gives it a bit sweeter pie'ish note.

In my experience, LA Banana Cream plays great with other fruits, whereas TFA's fits in better with desert-type flavors. I think it's because LA has the somewhat candy-like runtz banana type flavor behind it and is less heavy on the cream. TFA's is heavier on the cream aspect.
