Creamy/custard flavors recommendations. Oh and blueberry!
submitted over 10 years ago by Hulemkaka

I'm looking for a delicious creamy concentrate. I love the cream that electric ember uses, i could smoke Akema for the rest of my life and be happy. (so if anyone has made a flavor that tastes similar, gimme that shit.) I'm familiar with flavor west and TFA, and I'm not a big fan of their cream flavors. and blueberry is another big favorite for me, so if you can help me out there too, that would be fantastic!

Blueberry seems to be quite elusive for a lot of DIYers as the ones available from the regular manufacturers are quite light in flavor. But I've read great things about FA's Bilberry.

Capella's Vanilla Custard v1 is usually everyone's go-to for creamy/rich.

Search Custard in this sub.

FA's Bilberry is amazing in my opinion. When I first started DIY all I wanted to clone Blue Moo by Mt Baker Vapor, and since I've been messing around that has taken a back seat. Bilberry is very potent, deep blueberry flavor. I pair that with some FA custard, and another mix with FA Vienna cream. Great vapes, YMMV.

TFA ' S creams have always tasted super synthetic to me. Almost like latex. I've used vanilla swirl, vanilla bean ice cream, vanilla, and sweet cream. Is the custard and Vienna cream better?

In my experience yes they are better. Their custard is like a real tasting custard, not a vanilla jello pudding. There is a hint of lemon and clean tasting cooked eggs/sugar, like a hand made custard. Their Vienna cream is more of an vanilla flavored cream, and it's incredible. I haven't used a lot of FA's flavors but I already ordered a 120ML of their vienna, bilberry, and fresh cream (which isn't a fake cream taste either). Next on my 120ML order will be cookie and meringue.

I'll speak for him and mention that he's referring to FlavorArt and not The Flavor Apprentice. FA Custard is probably not the custard you are looking for based off of your OP, but FA Vienna Cream is worth having. The custard you are looking for is Capellas Vanilla Custard v1, as mentioned by others in this sub. I find that Capella's French Vanilla is also amazing, especially paired with their Custard

Boberry by Cloudwalkerz and Bacchus by Cloud Alchemist might be a good start.

EDIT: Sorry if this wasn't the answer you were looking for. When I posted my response I was browsing my front page so I thought it was the regular e-cig sub and not DIY.

For Blueberry i use a mix of Blueberry Extra (TFA) and Blueberry (CAP) to achieve a realistic blueberry flavor. Medicine Flower Blueberry is incredible, imo, and tastes the most realistic but it is a bit pricey. For custard its VC V1 (CAP), i often mix in a bit of Cheesecake (LA) to enhance the mouth feel.

Ive got Bilberry (FA) on the way to see what its all about.
