So just because I started a youtube channel doesn't mean I'm going to quit posting recipes. This is also going to be the first of the "MIX" series that is a video tutorial on how to make these recipes, where I show you exactly why I choose these flavors, why they work together, and how I came up with these percentages. So without further ado here's " 'Sicle ".
- FA Mandarin - 3%
- FA Orange - 1%
- FA Fresh Cream - 1%
- FA Vienna Cream - 2%
- FW Vanilla Bean Ice Cream - 2%
- TFA Vanilla Swirl - 3%
- Mix at MAX VG (88%vg) and great shake and vape, better with overnight steep
This is a quick and simple orange creamsicle recipe. It's similar to HIC's version, but this just a little more going on in the cream department. You get a well balanced orange flavor, with a splash of sweet vanilla ice cream.
The orange flavors can not be subbed, as I haven't found a good way to recreate that orange ice pop flavor. The Vienna and Fresh creams are a great ice cream base, but these flavors lack a little more vanilla "roundness" and flavor, so I incorporated Vanilla Bean Ice Cream, and Vanilla Swirl to really bring it out. And it fucking works beautifully. Those creams together are a great Vanilla Ice Cream base and can probably be used in conjunction with any other fruits. Just adjust according to how strong the accompanying fruits are. This mix is amazing straight out the oven, but given time, the vanilla's and creams REALLY come out to play which make the flavor IMO. I haven't tried adding any koolada to give it that icy feeling, but I'm 99% sure it'll taste great if you add in a touch (maybe 1 drop per 5ml) Definitely whip this shit up, alongside my Boardwalk flavor and your summer is going to kick fucking ass. And be sure to stay tuned to my channel so you can see how this is made, and a more in depth convo of my flavoring notes.
How do you like FW VBIC compared to TFA's?
They're both great. I find that FW, when they get a flavor down right, it's goooood. And VBIC is one of them. That being said its just as good as TFAs so it is interchangeable. I'm not sure what percentage you would use, but I'm thinking you could use the same as the recipe. Hope that helps!
I have FW VBIC (don't have TFA) and it is one of the few that I enjoy. I haven't been able to compare it, but having used almost 20ml of it so far, I don't know how only 2% would work in a recipe. The lowest I've used it at is 5% and even then it was pretty weak taste-wise. I have typically been using it at 7-8% lately and it hasn't disappointed.
This looks great! I tried a very simple version of this with TFA orange cream and french vanilla, but I found the orange cream overpowered the recipe. I'll be sure to give this a try when I get my hands on the flavors I'm missing.
PS. I absolutely LOVE you're opening into to your videos. Keep up the good work!
Thanks so much. I'm a huge fan of American Football and every single band like them. I also think that kind of music fits well into my style of video and personality, rather than the loud obnoxious #cloudsbruh trap that seems to be pretty dominant through out the subculture.
Do you ever sleep?!? Man, I can barely keep up with all the recipes you've been dropping on us lately... Add the YouTube channel to the mix, and I just don't know how you do it.
However you're doing it, you're a machine, and you're seriously helping a lot of people around here. Cheers man
just mixed this up and cant stop dripping it, already gone thru 5 mls !! very fine balance , you are right orange flavors cant be subbed ( have tried numerous other orange dream bar recipes) definitely mixing a 100 ml batch of this. thanks a ton for this recipe!
This sounds so much better than the tfa orange cream + french vanilla.
Can I sub tfa orange cream and tfa bean ice cream? Any suggestions? I also have tfa mango, peach.
Sorry just read the whole thing lol, you said can't sub. Guess ill be ordering the orange ;D
Have you tried ShoNuff by vapergate? That's basically same sounding flavor. I do a
TFA Orange Cream 9%
TFA Strawberry Ripe 6%
That's my super easy shake and vape and tastes great. The cream comes out after a week.
Going to grab these ingredients next order though because I love orange vapes.
Thanks for the video man! What kind of scale is that and where can I purchase one like it?
I've been battling to create a creamy apple vape, and this recipe came to mind (love your youtube channel man), so if I subbed mandarin and orange to FA Fuji, do you think it could work or not / would I need to adjust the creams / what?
I'm not too sure HOW it would work because Apple tends to clash against dairy. Unless it's a sort of Apple PIE type flavor. Then I know it would work. Maybe add in some bakery notes to flesh it out.
Thanks for replying. Trying to avoid any bakery vibes, baked apple-sort of stuff doesn't sit that well on my palette. I had a thread on this subject not long ago and was reassured that fresh cream + fresh apple is kinda possible so I though this could work as a base, maybe create a sort of apple sorbet-covered creamsickle.. Maybe not the best idea then. Doesn't mean I won't try though :D
Wow. This is eerily close to a creamsicle type mix I made for a friend about six weeks ago. I haven't made yours yet, but I suspect the VBIC will have yours tasting thicker and more traditional custard-like. Mine is pretty good too, though, and bonus--baddie free :
- FA Mandarin - 3%
- FA Orange - 1%
- FA Fresh Cream - 1%
- FA Vienna Cream - 2%
- FA Custard 1.5%
- TFA Vanilla Swirl - 3%
edit: I just looked at my notes more closely and it's NOT so eerie after all. Embarrassing that I didn't realize at first, but your recipe--is sitting uncredited, in my generic file, and now I think I surely must have adapted it from yours! Something had to account for the formatting being almost exactly the same! Thanks for the inspiration :)
