Took a stab at Adirondack's Miracle On Ice...
submitted over 10 years ago by Coffinspired

Welp, I saw there wasn't a clone recipe for this tasty juice.

I figured "how hard can it be?", well, not very. It's a first attempt, it needs refinement and I should probably try again before posting a recipe...but maybe someone wants to play with it.

Tastes %95 spot-on to my unrefined palette after a shake 'n vape...a little too mellow after 2 days steep time. Seems like PLENTY Koolada though...so something's possibly missing still. 3 days in, still VERY tasty.

Tested on a Half-closed Dark Horse @ 75w W/ Twisted 24ga

Miracle On Ice

  • %4 Strawberry Ripe (TFA)
  • %2 Strawberry Sweet (CAP)
  • % 6-6.5 Blueberry Wild (TFA)
  • %1 Coconut XTra (TFA)
  • %1 Koolada (TFA)

Feedback welcome! It's close, but not %100.

Haha...you guys are great! Love, love, love Miracle and Placid. Burned through my last order of 150ml in less than a week.

Sooooo, any hints? ;) Blink twice if it's close. I don't have any of the real stuff right now to compare...I'm awaiting your blinks...

Yep haha. Made it years ago on XBL and just got used to it. \m/\m/

\m/ I loved them as a teenager. I still go to a lot of post-hardcore & metal shows, though my tastes swung towards european progressive & power metal in my 20s.

Might give this recipe a shot without (or much less) coconut...can't stand the stuff but the recipe looks good!

Have you tried coconut, the non extra variety? When I first got into diy I bought that thinking I could just double it for recipes that call for extra, but in my experience it's either less than half strength or a different flavor. It's much more mild and less overpowering.

No, I haven't. I actually didn't know they did a non-extra coconut. I might give it a shot in the future, I don't mind a really light coconut flavour so it might do the trick. Cheers.

For what it's worth, I love FA Coconut and lots of people seem to think it's one of the best out there. I don't really like coconut extra either but I've never tried TFA's regular coconut.

Maybe try %.5 of the coconut then. It really does need to be in there...how much you actually want it to come through is up to you. I don't really even taste it @ %1...nor do I really like Coconut vapes.

It kind of sits right behind the koolada and never comes through much...though I haven't made enough to steep it...went through about 30ml in 2ish days.

Did you post this in the clones thread? I haven't had that one from Adirondack, but the recipe you posted looks good to me regardless.

Not yet...figured I'd try to refine it a little before putting it up.

Damn it all, I gotta get some Koolada.

It works very nicely at ~1% to make ice cream and sorbet juices chilled. I also use it in my iced tea mix & my Dr. Pepper.

This was my favorite juice of theirs that I tried. Awesome vendor! If only I could afford to buy it, I would

Can't wait to try this mix!

Hey man. I just wanted to check back in. My wife and I were really big fans of a super small taste tester of this authentic juice.

I excited made up a 10ml bottle of your recipe and it's pretty close to what I remember. Great job! I'm heading to 120ml of it next and will let it steep longer =]

Thanks again

That's great man!

I've yet to go back to it and attempt to refine it, but I did leave 20 mL out of 100 mL sit and steep for a week...

My post-steep experience was that the coconut came through more and slightly muted the Koolada. The solution I figure I'll try next time is offsetting the Coco with a little more Strawberry ripe. Maybe drop the Coco to %0.9-0.8.

Or do the lazy thing I did with the 20 mL and just add another fresh % 0.2-0.3 Koolada into a week later, haha.

Either way, I've come to accept that a "clone" that is 90% or closer to the real thing is fine by me...heck, sometimes I end up liking the clone more.

Yea man. Well done. I'd love to hear your method =)

My wife loves it. She killed 10ml in a day. I made a 50ml instead of 120ml and it's a bit harsh 2 days later. Letting it steep more

I made a few tweaks to suit my tastes and my wife LOVES it.

5% TFA Strawberry Ripe, 1.5% Cap Strawberry , 6% Blueberry Wild, . 9% TFA coconut extra, 1% Koolada, and a few drops of strong diy menthol for a little more mint.

I find CAP strawberry to be overpowering so reduced it slightly. Added menthol makes it very refreshing. Give it a go!

I know this is an older thread, but have you tried Blueberry Extra + Pomegranite? (Both TFA). That mixture alone is giving me a huge Miracle on Ice vibe. Try giving the Andromeda Clone a try and you'll see what I'm talking about.

I think it was

Vanillin 6%

Blueberry Extra 10%

Pomegranite 5%

All TFA
