Pound Cake Recipe - All TFA
submitted over 10 years ago by LukeG

7% Vanilla Cupcake TFA
5% Hazelnut TFA
5% Frosted Donut TFA
3% Caramel Candy TFA
0.5% Sweetener

I'm loving this one and thought I would share.

*edit: Per a suggestion add 3% TFA Lemon for Lemon Pound Cake. It's pretty damn good.

Didn't even think of that... sounds amazeballs! (scrambling for my lemon)

I think something like a Lemon Sicily (FA) would probably work well.

So i tried the base recipe without the lemon first. Set it up to spin mix last night and vaped it all today (10ml). All in all it's a OK cake flavor. I personally found the hazelnut to be a bit strong, but nothing major. The rest blended well, but just didn't have any real "body" to it for me. Now I also know my olfactory sense is pretty well screwed, so most things taste light to me. But this just felt like a great base in need of something main stage.

It was plenty good enough for me to play around with however. I have been doing a lot of lemon based things so I am trying TFA orange cream to mix it up. The recipe I have going now is:

5% TFA Orange Cream

5% TFA Vanilla Cupcake

5% TFA Frosted Donut

4% TFA Hazelnut

3% TFA Caramel Candy

.5% TFA Sweetener

Cut the hazelnut just to personal preference, not that it was a real problem. Cut the vanilla just to make way for the orange, don't like mixes above 25% flavor.

Nice! I am a hazelnut junkie. How did the orange come out?

I tried it last night before I went to bed and was not to stoked initially. The orange and Hazel created an almost chocalatey cinnamon undercurrent. However going back to it today after a little more steeping it has lost the chocalatey tinge and blended better between those two flavors. The orange stands out, but coated in the Hazelnut tone. Not near as cinnamony as I was afraid it may turn out. I'll probably let this steep for a week or so and get a lemon batch going, see if its better than my personal lemon cookie.

Have you tried adding any butter flavoring, real pound cake is very buttery. Sounding yummy, regardless.

I don't have any right now to test with, if anyone does test with that, let me know how it comes out. It's spot on the way it is now.

Flv coconut in the .5% range can give a really good butter flavor

I will try this. I just got some DIYFS Pound Cake and it's not as good as I had hoped. This may also be a use for that Frosted Donut that didn't make the cut either.

Capella doughnut is more of a frosting flavor, less of a doughnut in my experience. I have to mix them both together to get the flavor I want.(for a doughnut)
