Using pharmacy vg

I'm using VG from a pharmacy and it says 85% glycerin. Safe to vape?

You can get 99.5-99.7% USP glycerine at pharmacies that actually carry it in the skin care section. Try CVS or Walmart.

Not from USA so the only place to get good VG is vape shops. Pharmacies carry only the 85% kind

That's weird since glycerin has tons of uses. Ask around; maybe a place selling cooking supplies since VG is a common sweetener for diabetics, or soap makers.

The CVS down the street carries 99.5% VG in a 120ml bottle... I'm in California

Usually the glycerine used in ejuice is >95% but I don't think you'll die if that's what you're asking

Nothing wrong with using aqueous VG other than some don't care for it. Space jam uses aqueous VG.

Don't buy it. Yes, "vape-grade" VG is more expensive, but it does not have 150ml water per liter - maybe around 0,5-5ml (99,95-99,5%).

I use 85% vg, it is completly safe, you have not to worry about it.

I cant find the 99% in pharmacies in switzerland aswell. It produces less vapor needs more flavor but it steeps faster

You can order cheap vg99,5 online at e-dym.pl, something like 10€/lt +6€ shipping

E-dym.PL has two shops in my city so I don't have a problem getting it from there but I was using 85% because it was convenient to get it. I'll get some 99% next time when I'm there

It probably won't hurt you, but I personally wouldn't vape it. Of course, if it is 15% water (and not other impurities) then it's probably OK. In the U.S. we can walk into any pharmacy and get 99.5% USP grade.

I used the vg from Walmart and vaped fine with no side affects. Was like $3 for 8oz bottle

You want 100% USP Kosher Grade Vegetable Glycerin.

Except you can't get 100% VG. The best they can do is 99,95% and that's like, ultra rare and ultra clean.

Any company that claims to have "100% Vegetable Glycerine" is actually selling you 99,5%, which is still good for vaping, but it IS false advertisement.

It is impossible to clear anything to a 100%. There will be some impurities, etc.

glycerin by nature absorbs water, so the moment it comes in contact with air it pulls moisture and isnt 100% glycerin anymore. if you let vg sit in the air for a few days you will notice it will be less thick and more runny due to the water absorbed
