Hi everyone, I've been making my own juices using many recipes found on reddit and e liquid forums and what not. First and foremost, I'd like to thank those posting for doing us a solid and posting great recipes for eveyone to enjoy!
Now I have made some decent tasting juices but most of them come out with very light flavoring. The flavor I'm trying to get is a creamy sweet mango with undertones of exotic fruits, but cant seem to get the mango to come out at all. Can anyone help me out? I have tried different variations, here they are:
12% TFA Philippine mango
5% TFA Lychee
3% Cap Sweet Guava
2% Sweet Cream
6% TFA Philippine mango
5% TFA Lychee
1% Cap Sweet Guava
1% Sweet Cream
20% TFA Philippine mango
5% TFA Lychee
3% Cap Sweet Guava
1% Sweet Cream
How long have you let them steep/cure?
TFA Mango (and Philippine Mango as well) seem to become noticeable only after 7-10 days from my experiments. Sweet spot is around 12%-15%, in my opinion.
> 12% TFA Philippine mango 5% TFA Lychee 3% Cap Sweet Guava > > 2% Sweet Cream > > > > 6% TFA Philippine mango 5% TFA Lychee 1% Cap Sweet Guava > > 1% Sweet Cream > > > > 20% TFA Philippine mango 5% TFA Lychee 3% Cap Sweet Guava > > 1% Sweet Cream
How did each of these taste to you? Lychee can be powerfull by itself in my experience. Mango and Guava are softer flavors that lychee may be hiding.
I've been playing with coconut recipes lately and I think it may help you here too. Try this recipe if you have coconut:
- 10% Philipine Mango
- 2% Sweet Guava
- 2% Sweet Cream
- 1.5% Coconut (I've only used LA myself but it seems equally potent to FA)
I would drop the lychee entirely, it tastes nothing like actual lychee and more like a fermented peach flavor. You may be able emulate it well with a strawberry and LIGHT coconut mix. Talking like .25% coconut. But try mixing:
8% mango
0% lychee(seriously this shit is bad.)
3% strawberry(ripe)
.25% coconut
2% guava
3% sweet cream
disclaimer: never worked with TFA mango, but 8% seems safe to keep the flavor ahead of the other fruits.
This one isn't quite where I want it to be yet, but it's getting there:
Mango Gummies:
-
9% TFA Mango
-
1% each: CAP Passion Fruit, TFA Gummy Candy, TFA Sweet Cream, TFA Vanilla Swirl, TFA Sour
It's a creamy, fruity mango flavor. Future attempts might include adding some EM or TFA Marshmallow, replacing Sweet Cream and Vanilla Swirl with Bavarian Cream, or replacing some of the TFA Mango for another brand's mango flavor. I've been looking for ways to make Mango pop out. It seems to play well with Passion Fruit and some Sour also helps.
sorry to reply so late, but this looks like a great recipe! will try it out thanks!
Don't, I've improved on it greatly since then.
TFA Mango 4%, CAP Sweet Mango 3%, FA Mango 1%, CAP Passion Fruit 2%, TFA Gummy Candy 1%, FW Yogurt 2%, CAP Juicy Lemon 1%
