Recipe Concentrates?
submitted over 10 years ago by AzzyAzzborn

Hey All,

Here is my question. Is it feasible to make a concentrate of a recipe that I make for quick production of batches? Example: If I have a liquid that is 7% flavor X, 4% flavor Y and 2% flavor Z, can I make just the flavoring base to keep on hand so i don't have to measure every ingredient everytime I make a batch? If so does this flavor blend need to be mixed heavily and steeped before adding VG and Nic? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Add the total percent of flavor. Let's say 17% then divide each percent by 17. when done correctly the total for all flavor percentages should equal 100%. Then to do a 10 ml bottle you would use 1.7 mls of concentrate. Add pg/vg nic then filler and done.

Yes, it's feasible.
Do the following according to your example:
Add the percentages: 7+4+2=13
Choose quantity of flavor concentrate: i.e 100ml
Then for Flavor X: 100/13x7=53.8462ml
Flavor Y: 100/13x4=30.7692ml
Flavor Z: 100/13x2= 15.3846ml
Added together the results should be 100ml
You then need to add the total percentage of the original. In your example it is 13%, in other words: 1.3ml/10ml

Sure! ELR supports it as well. Make a recipe on e-liquid-recipes.com, save it, then click the blue wrench and click Make flavor base - fill out relevant info and have at it :)

/u/Raiden395 made a guide about 2 months ago that should answer your questions.
