Have a cookie
submitted over 10 years ago by christopherson

Been working on a Wanna Cooke - Source Code clone for a some time now and while I will say it's not exactly like it I would say it's delicious. That being said, screw going for a clone, I wanna give this out and get any input I can to make this the best cookie recipe we can come up with. Thanks for your time and enjoy!

Description: 100% Shake and vape ready so if you like cookie flavors I would recommend making a 30ml+. Vanilla and cookie stronger on the exhale but the gingerbread really comes out on the exhale I would like to add more of that cookie taste to the inhale but anymore CAP cookie and everything gets muted and more FA cookie overpowers everything else. Considering using some yellow cake on the next revision or even some cake batter.

You are getting a shit ton of upvotes and no comments. I pasted this into my next mixes doc and will try to mix it tonight. Will have to either do without the TFA Gingerbread Cookie or up the CAP Gingerbread but this looks great. Will try to remember to report back.

Usually how it goes, really appreciate the input. Ok if you do use the CAP gingerbread consider lowering it even more, maybe .25

Yeah that shit is pretty strong. Maybe I'll go .25 and omit the TFA entirely. I'm actually pretty excited bout this one. I've had a cookie thing going on for a couple of weeks and I've always got a gingerbread thing.

I just added .5ml yellow cake and a few drops of cake batter to a 30 ml I mixed last night and it really added that fluffyness it was missing.

I'd say most of these components work well with others so might be worth getting on your next order :)

Good thanks! It looks really good and I have some of the basic like gingerbread, cookie, and cheesecake graham so maybe I can piece something together.

Definitely. Do you have CAP sugar cookie?

How do you like the TFA doughnut? I've been looking for a good plain donut base to work with, and I love to hear your thoughts on this one. I've tried Capellas but it's just okay.

It's just ok as well. If I want to give something that little frost but dont want to usa FA mandarin I'll pop it in at a low %. Never tried CAPs version tmh so I can't really compare it although your description of it is identical to my impression of TFAs

That's a ton flavors form a diversity of brands, but it sounds delicious!

I like hearing that it's ready to vape immediately after mixing, but I'm curious how it is after a solid steep. Does the gingerbread creep up on you the longer you steep it?

It actually tones down a bit and blends nicely with everything else after a solid 2 week steep

That's awesome. I'm fairly new to the diy scene but I'm definitely adding this to my to-be-mixed list!

Due to family issues and work I'm pretty absent lately. I know this is a few months old so not many people will see this and I've told people I would give input on their mixes and have failed to do so.

Let me preface this by saying that I'm more into fruity profiles and bakery profiles are not usually an ADV for me. I've tried a lot of cookie/cake recipes (my own and others) and while a lot of them are definitely tasty, they are not usually ADV material for me personally. Most cookies I've tried are either to dry or a little overpowering. I like bold flavors from fruity recipes but bold bakery notes can be overpowering for my tastes.

Now that all of that is out of the way. I thought I made this recipe using the exact flavorings but looking now I realized I didn't use the cake batter or the TFA gingerbread cookie (not sure how i missed those).

I didn't shake and vape this one and tasted it's been aging for ~6 weeks. I made this at the recommended 30PG/70VG (also my norm) with no distilled water. I also vaped this in a Herakles tank at 50W.

The flavor of this is pretty spot on to a sugar cookie with a hint of gingerbread and cinnamon. Very similar to a snickerdoodle without the sometimes overpowering cinnamon and with a little something extra thrown in. To me the sugar cookie aspect is perfect and I get a good amount of the lingering sugary note that I love about CAP sugar cookie. Occasionally I get notes of cinnamon and gingerbread on the exhale. Since I was missing a flavor with gingerbread I can only imagine that it would be even better with it in there but since I was sometimes still getting the gingerbread flavor I didn't feel too cheated. I may try upping the CAP gingerbread +.25%-.5% because I don't have the TFA version to see how that goes

The sweetness level was also great IMO. I would say it's about mid to mid-high on the sweetness level. I have a preference for sweeter vapes but I definitely wouldn't say this is too sweet for those that may not.

Now something I didn't expect was just how smooth this was. Again, I didn't try this as a shake and vape so 6 weeks was more than enough time for any harshness to mellow out. I usually get sharpness from cookie/cereal vapes that wasn't present here.

Flavor level was on point to make this an ADV. It had plenty of flavor without being too overpowering. Something I was also presently surprised by.

Since bakery flavors aren't my number one choice other opinions may vary but as far as cookie vapes I've made or tried this is probably the best and in the fall I could see this an occasional ADV for me.

I've never had Wanna Cookie so I can't give a better/worse comparison unfortunately.

Great, well though out recipe. Thanks for sharing.

I hope things with your family are getting better and you get some time to get away from work sometime soon.
Better late than never. Your reply made my day. I worked on this recipe for quite a while and it's a huge favorite among my friends and coworkers. Reading through your review made my stressfull day take a complete 180. Thanks so much for taking the time to not only try it but give the time to report back in such detail. Means alot.
Now dont feel like your missing a whole lot with that substitution. The TFA component your missing was just there to play with the CAP gingerbread a bit. Personally I like this recipe with a little more gingerbread so I encourage you adding 5-10 extra drops/30ml.
Also, after getting FA Joy I couldn't help but throw some in. .5%-1% made it into a more soft sugar cookie, as close to a fresh out of the oven cookie that I was going for in the first place. If you don't have FA Joy send me a PM and I'll hook you up with a free bottle. I have extras.

Thanks for the kind words. I've learned to take more things day by day and enjoy the free time I do get. Doesn't leave a whole lot of time for mixing but I do it when I can.

Glad I could make your day. This community has been great even though lately I'm only lurking when I can. I try to check out peoples notes and mix up other people's recipes since it will sometimes give me inspiration or insight. I know there are some really great mixers on here and realize their recipes are more likely to get mixed up and receive input so I'm trying not to suck so bad at finding the time to give my input to those that want it on something I've tried.

It's funny that you mention Joy since I was wondering how it might work in here. Thanks for the offer on the bottle. I sincerely appreciate it, but I did manage to pick a few bottles of that up a couple of weeks ago. I haven't had time to play it with it much so I just tested it out in someones recipe and I'm still trying to decide how much I like it. The "yeasty" (if that's a word?) flavor I get from it can be pretty overwhelming for me so It'll be interesting to use it here.

I was writing my thoughts down as I was vaping it so it was all fresh in my mind and my record keeping of tasting notes isn't always the greatest. After I finished that tank I reloaded it with a mix that had FW Fruit Stripe Gum in it. As the lemon flavor of that mix started coming through and the cookie was still present it made me want to give lemon a go in here as well.

Oh wow, I did'nt even think about lemon. Some FA lemon Sicily or INW Lemon Mix maybe?
