Lets talk about Adirondack Cascade, if you like nana cream you should give it a try.
submitted over 10 years ago by mayor-of-whoreisland

So while at the Vape Summit last weekend I stopped by the Adirondack booth to try some things since I have heard nothing but good things about them. The guy I was talking too seemed super cool BTW. Anyways, after trying Placid, they suggested for me to try Cascade and I immediately picked up LA Banana Cream, Strawberry, cream, and some apple on the exhale. After a couple puffs, I was sold and bought Placid and Cascade, in my haste I completely forgot to try Tupper and Delta (really hating myself for this now). I have had a couple of tanks of it this week and i must say I do actually prefer Cascade to nana cream and this 30ml bottle wont be lasting long.

My initial thoughts are:
LA Banana Cream is the prominent flavor
Strawberry (thinking FA or INA)
Apple ( thinking FA Fuji)
Cream having a hard time picking out exactly which one but I think it is TFA sweet cream.
There may be a touch of Pear in here as well.

Has anyone else had Cascade before? Any further thoughts on replicating?

Their shop is only about an hour and 15 min away from me. So I've tried most of their flavors. I bought a 120ml trio last time i was there. Aneto, Placid, and Delta. Cascade has this crisp red apple bite to it IIRC. I think I still have around 20ml Aneto, 45ml Delta, and 75ml Cayuga laying around. Placid just has something going on in it that I cant keep myself away from. Cayuga and Delta I feel benefit from lower wattages or temp control as I find them more enjoyable as a cool vape. Anywho, they're great guys making a great product and deserve your business! Rainier and Saratoga are excellent aswell. I have a pretty awesome Saratoga clone I've been working on that friends like. My 2cents

Cascade is literally my daily vape. I feel like I'm going to the store twice a week to get a bottle. I'm close to buying the wine bottle of it.

If you like Cascade, you really do need to try Delta. Still fruity without the creme (watermelon and strawberry if I'm remembering right). I'm not a fan of Tupper but I don't like melon either so that's more personal preference. Also Saratoga and Seneca are must-haves.

Edit: Just realized this was in DIY ejuice and not electronic_cigarette, leaving it up anyway as a testament to my habit of not looking at subreddit titles.

I've never had cascade so unfortunately I can't offer anything relevant.

However, delta is a very good fruit mix you should definitely try it! Rainier also reminds me of Nana cream a little. Definitely LA banana cream from the color alone and it has some coconut in it for sure. Another good one to try.

When I first started vaping about a year ago my buddy gave me some of his placid to try and since then I've been hooked. Placid and Tupper are staples for me and I throw Ticonderoga in the mix as well.

I'm really liking the Aneto from the Ascent line (Trix aren't just for kids!). The cascade is pretty tasty too - they've thrown in a free sample of it twice on my orders.

I'll try and mix this up now, have all the main components, except INW or FA strawberry; which is closer TFA strawberry or strawberry ripe?

edit: also, as I've never had cascade, any idea which flavor is maid and which ones are sides?

I would say and equal split of TFA Strawberry and Strawberry Ripe would be close.

My first shot would be:

5% Banana Cream LA
4% Strawberry FA (you could try to sub a TFA Strawberry mix here at 6-7% total)
2% Sweet Cream TFA
1% Fuji FA
1% Pear TFA (I think ADV uses INA Pear but I have to wait for vapemail to confirm since I am out)

I'll throw this together and do a couple hour warm water steep

Ok so obviously this is a work in progress but I just tried this fresh and here are my initial observations:

Increase the Banana to 6%
Not sold on the FA Strawberry
Sweet Cream seems to work here
Fuji seems to work here at 1%
Up pear to 1.5% but still not sure whether it is TFA or INA

I have some cascade at home I'll load it up. I personally don't remember much banana, it was the strawberry that hit me.

LA banana cream only makes TFA strawberry fuller, and doesn't really stand out on its own when mixed. So while it may be the largest %, I'm sure that strawberry will be the forefront of this flavor.

So I had to go ahead and add 1.5% quince to the mix, because I seriously think I have a problem when it comes to that flavor, but it really brings out the apple and puts it ahead if the strawberry.

Are you using TFA Pear at all in addition to the TFA Quince? I bought the quince as per your suggestion in hopes I could sub it for pear and can't decide what percentages of which to use. Thanks!

Not in this specific recipe. I'd also drop the quince down to .5%, as it comes out a lot in steeping. I'd say the only way to make quince emulate pear would be to mix it with apple 1 part to 5 or 1 part to 4. I've ventured away from using it as its own flavor, and more to using it as an additive to enhance bold fruits like apple, pear, dragonfruit, or jackfruit.

I'm a little late on this but here's what I've come up with.

LA Banana Cream - 3%

TPA Strawberry - 7%

TPA Pear - 3%

TPA Apple - 4%

Smells and tastes good enough for me to vape. I also made a version with 0.5% TPA honeydew and it gives it that Kilo "Dewberry" taste. These are fun fruit flavors to play around with and even if you tweak the percents to your liking, it should taste pretty good!
