After looking around at other peoples blueberry creams, testing multiple batches, and making overly complex recipies, I have finally made a blueberry cream that I like.
I've found many of the blueberry creams I've tried to be either too harsh or to creamy without a blueberry taste. Although I feel like this recipie has a good balance between the two.
8-11% Blueberry Wild (TFA) (based on personal preference, I use 10%)
2% Bavarian Cream (TFA) (any more just drowns out the blueberry taste, could even consider cutting back to 1.5%)
3% Sweet Cream (TFA) (classic in most blueberry cream juices)
1-2% Cotton Candy (TFA) (for sweetness/fullness) (I use 2% although i might try dropping to 1%)
Let me know what you guys think!
This is good, son. I love how the blueberry is still prominent. I might try adding in .8% FA Meringue, but it's a pretty good ADV so far.
Instead of the creams I use 1% cap french vanilla and 5% tfa vanilla swirl. Its pretty good will try yours and compare. Also will try adding bilberry I got it and haven't used it for anything yet.
I just tried 10% blueberry wild, 1% French vanilla, 5% vanilla swirl. Tastes excellent even without time to steep/blend. Well played sir.
It's what I use as the vanilla base in my orange/pineapple/strawberry mix. Give it a day or 2 and the vape just gets even smoother. I'm a firm believer in the FV/VS combo.
Does anyone else find 19-20% flavour way too much or is the blueberry really weak? I rarely mix above 11-12% it seems.
Tried this out and it tastes great! I had to use the DX Bavarian Cream, since Wizard labs was out of stock. Being totally new at the DIY method I have a question about percentages of flavorings. When you say 8-11% Blueberry Wild, does that mean that 8-11% of your total concoction is just that flavor? In other words, say I'm making a 30ml batch, is 10% Blueberry wild 3mls?
