What's YOUR favorite variation of "Honey Pearry"?
submitted over 10 years ago by DarkNinjaMole

This is not a clone thread, nor will I tell you how to make the true Honey Pearry (because honestly I don't know). Instead, I'm asking what your favorite version of /u/TheVaporChef 's Honey Pearry is. Just the flavor profile. You like to have some cream in there? Chocolate? A mess of other fruits? Let us know! Personally, I've enjoyed the straight up simple mix of:

  • 6% TFA Pear

  • 3% TFA Honeydew

  • 3% TFA Strawberry

It's s simple mix, and I find it much sweeter than the original (especially in higher VG mixes) but it's very tasty. I'm going to be making another mix tonight using the same flavor profile, but I think it will look something like this:

  • 6% TFA Pear

  • 3% TFA Strawberry

  • 2-2.5% TFA Honeydew ( I find this flavor pretty strong @ 3%)

  • 1-1.5% TFA Apricot ( I think this will add a nice undertone)

  • 0.5% or lower TFA Sour (Malic Acid ) (Not really going for a sour flavor here, just want something to bring all the fruit flavors together and balance out the sweetness of the pear and honeydew. I'll see tonight if this is feasible).

So, what's yours?

Dragonfruit and strawberry (ripe) are best fucking friends.. try it out on its own..

i have found that honeydew on its own is a bit strong. I split the honeydew with honey suckle to make up the 3.5%. it tones it back a bit.

I also use strawberry (ripe) not sweet.

Pear 6% (TPA)
Strawberry (ripe) (TPA) 4%
Honeydew (TPA) 1.5%
Honeysuckle (TPA) 2%
1.0% Ethyl Maltol (Sweetener Additive) 0.5%

Don't have honeysuckle, but I'll add it to my list of flavors to get.

You find the EM is necessary? I believe it's the higher % of pear in mine that's causing the sweetness to be quite high, so I was actually thinking of toning down the pear a bit. Like I said, don't have honeysuckle, so not sure how that jams with the whole mix.

I have some signature honeysuckle think ill try that...its almost a cross of honey perry and placid clones.

I heard this, but I beg to differ. I got Sig Strawberry, and its nothing like TFA Strawberry.

How is TFA Honeysuckle? I've always wanted to make a blueberry and Honeysuckle mix...

Have you ever had Placid from Adirondack Vapor? When you get it fresh, TFA Honeysuckle is the predominant flavor. I like it a lot with fruit flavors, but I haven't tried it with blueberry.

I usually do :

  • 6% TFA Ripe Strawberry
  • 5% TFA Pear
  • 3% TFA Honeydew Melon
  • 1% TFA Apricot

The apricot is especially strong so I'll put even less that 1% but I like that combo.

Edit : On mobile not sure how to format properly

Hmmmmm....I think the higher % of pear in mine is what's causing the excess sweetness. It's good, but I'd like to bring it down a bit. I may try something like this.

I always up the strawberry since it gets downed out easily.

3% Honeydew?!?! I've added .5% of that to a mix and that's all I can taste.

Yeah, I can't staaaand TFA Honeydew. Never could. It seems to be an uncommon view, though.
