I've been experimenting with a creamy strawberry (Strawberry TFA) vape with colorful notes of various tropical fruit flavors, but I just can't seem to get the perfect body for it.
I have tried a little fooling around with bavarian cream, sweet cream, malted milk, coconut, EM, sucralose, vanillin - all were a bit disappointing. Whipped cream is my next plan.
I have also tried TFA's Organic Strawberry and Strawberry Ripe, they don't taste as 'candy-like' as I'd like for this.
What's your experience with strawberry and independent creams?

Sounds like you're sticking with TFA flavorings? These are my personal opinions and reasoning behind how TFA Strawberry works with TFA's various creams:
- Bavarian Cream (Contains < 0.5% Acetoin): It's a lot of vanilla and cyclotene (maple flavoring). I don't think it works well with Strawberry because of the maple note...flavors clash. It also has a good bit of ethyl maltol which, when paired with the already-sweet Strawberry, over-sweetens and mutes the mix.
- Dairy/Milk (Contains < 0.5% Acetoin, < 0.5% Acetyl Propionyl): Pretty decent. The sulfurol (which sounds undesirable) in this flavor gives it that milk-like metallic taste, so it works well with Strawberry. It's a bit one-dimensional, like real milk, so you'd need to augment it.
- Sweet Cream (Contains < 1% Acetoin): Smells funky from its comparatively high concentration of butyric acid and makes it too acidic to pair well with Strawberry.
- Vanilla Bean Ice Cream and Vanilla Bean Gelato: explained in the above-linked Mustard Milk thread
- Whipped Cream: contains two different lactones and triacetin, so it has a very full and authentic cream texture, but not a ton of flavor on its own. Teensy hint of vanilla. Can be useful to emulate fresh-whipped cream.

One thing I really want to nail on the head with this strawberry mix, is kiwi. Do you know if it would go well with this custardy, vanilla mix? It would be just the very hint of it, barely the flavor but more of the tangy tartness that doesn't overtake even the cream.
I'll tell ya...I love making complicated mixes and fighting with a recipe, but that recipe is one of my go-tos. I love it.
So you're looking to make a Pavlova? Kiwi would totally work. You can use FA Kiwi at very low (<=1%) percentages to get a nice tang that melds well with other flavors. TFA Kiwi is much less tangy and I think it would be difficult to get the tartness you're after without muddying the mix.

So I use 5%strawberry, 3%french vanilla, 1%whipped cream, ~1%menthol (homemade)
I find any more than 1%enjoyed cream and it has a gross rancid milk taste
Fizz posted a recipe recently, 8% TFA vanilla bean ice cream 6% TFA strawberry. I've been vaping it for the past few days, simple and delicious.
Sounds interesting. I just made a small batch of only 15% vanilla bean ice cream in VG, and it's not bad. I'd certainly have to let it steep though (I've only heard good things), because it tastes pretty "crude" at the moment.
I think you're over flavoring, cut that in half and you'll be surprised how much better it is. Take 5ml of your mix and add 5ml of vg, and give it a test. I did this kind of dilution experimenting a lot when I was getting started, and it really drove home how important restriction is when it comes to flavoring.
I'll definitely do that. I'm also with you on starting low and going high, I feel like you develop a better understanding of how things taste and develop better mixing skills that way. I only started so high because apparently it was a hit with several people. I have yet to agree with them.
Great timing on this post. I'm slowly building up more flavors, it's tough considering I'm kind of strapped for cash though. Just bought some tfa Bavarian cream to try to add to a couple flavors. What percentage did you use with the strawberry?
I've found that anywhere between 8%-10% works pretty well as I want it to be a main flavor. The exact amount really depends on what else you're using and how you like the flavors to blend because many tropical fruits are pretty strong at low concentrations.
Fyi..TFA'S "regular strawberry" is more candy like I've heard. Otherwise, FW and Lorann's tend toward the candy side (though not sure if Lorann's strawberry is vape-friendly)
LA Strawberry has triacetin in it, so if you're comfortable with vaping red dye 40, make sure you put it in a glass tank.
I mix mine with cap vanilla custard v1
Have you tried Capela ~~'creamy strawberry'~~ strawberries and cream?
Its quite good on its own and better than every strawberry and cream base comination ive tried. Disclaimer, im not a fan of custard type flavors.
