This is the most pleasant way I've found to get through a period of vaper's tongue.
The Remedy (12%)
-
3% lemon (FA)
-
3% lime (IN)
-
2% blackcurrant (FA)
-
2% menthol (FA)
-
2% eucalyptus (IN)
I mix at max VG / 3mg and vape at a high wattage. It benefits from a little steeping but it is good fresh as well. I sometimes like to add 0.2% FA honey for some sweetness.
Note: the flavor manufacturers are important in this recipe. I tried variations with a bunch of substitutes but these are the best.
EDIT: I think it goes without saying, but this juice will crack tanks
EDIT 2: I see the whole 'remedy' thing has touched a nerve. I don't mean it will cure vaper's tongue. I mean, it's a nice juice to vape when your sense of taste isn't at 100%
Crack tanks?
We (in the UK) have an over-the-counter cold/blocked nose remedy type boiled sweet called Tunes. You seem to have created them in vape form. Bless you!
p.s. replace the blackcurrant for honey and you have Lockets! Gotta go try this, my nose has been blocked for weeks.
FA = FlavorArt and IN = ?
inawera :)
I just use coffee beans.
Just open the bag of coffee beans, take a deep inhale through your nose, and exhale outside the bag (or coffee jar, or whatever). Do this until you can't really smell the coffee anymore.
Now take a vape. Mmmmmm. Works great and almost instantaneously.
3% Lemon Sicily FA
2% Lime Tahiti FA
1% Lime Tahiti Cold Pressed FA
2% Cantaloupe FLV
1% Kaktus INW
2% Eucalyptus w/ Mint INW
.5% Menthol 10% PG TFA optional, but adds a nice kick.
2% Koolada TFA
Is how I made this & it's pretty fuckin' amazing. Wouldn't change a thing except play around with the menthol or exclude entirely.
Great, glad you found a mix that works for you. I'm not a fan of koolada but I'm going to try with some cactus.
The blackcurrant has been on my list to purchase for ages now.
At the end there is a note for OP, but I feel something needs to be said first.
While I appreciate that you're making a play on words more than anything else, I think it would be dangerous for people to really think that the solution to vaper's tongue is more vaping.
Juice (specifically the VG in it) is a humectant, it 'sucks' the water from your mouth/tongue/throat*, and is dehydrating your mouth. You need to drink water, it's the only real cure for vapor tongue. *(It is hygroscopic (absorbs water) effectively enough to supercede your mouth/tongue/throat's ability to absorb the same water)
That being said (for the people that don't understand what vaper's tongue really is), have you tried lemon sicily (FA), juicy lemon (CAP), key lime (FW), koolada (TFA), and/or cactus (INW) in this? I feel like my adaptation to this recipe would include juicy lemon and sicily at like 5% each, the key lime is the best lime I've been able to find, and the cactus adds a juiciness to any fruit flavored juice I've made as of yet (very low percentages, couple drops per 30mL). Just curious on your take for this.
Yeah you are right, the title is a more of a pun than useful medical advice.
I've never tried catus but will give it a go. Is FW key lime really that good? Have you tried INW lime to compare? I know someone who vapes this at 5% lemon 5% lime 5% menthol 5% eucalyptus but they are a special kind of crazy!
FW key lime is my favorite lime, but I think that every version of the same flavor works differently depending on the recipe. I haven't tried INW lime; I've tried FA, Cap, and TFA as comparison though. My INW stock is a bit limited compared to FA, TFA and CAP.
From what I have tried of INW, I find them to be the least sweet of all of the companies I've tried, more true to the flavor of the actual source, but the flavor profile in this recipe would lead me to think you'd want that sweeter flavor.
I'd be more interested in the koolada and cactus though, I'd think the combination could be substituted for the menthol/eucalyptus to give a bit of a cleaner flavor. The lemon sicily I think is a very refreshing flavor, that's why I mentioned it.
You know vapors tongue has more to do with the nose than the tongue right?
Or just get some ginger/ginger candy. Ginger is served with sushi for it's palate cleansing renown.
I stopped getting vapers tongue when I started vaping more disparate flavors. When I did fruits all day, eventually they all became dull. When I added desserts and cereals to the mix, no more vapers tongue. I imagine if your go-to liquids have lemon, lime, blackcurrant, etc., OP's recipe won't do anything for your vapers tongue.
