So ive been working on creating a nice yogurt base to use, and im getting there but not as close as id like to be. Ive been experimenting with different mixtures of Tfa bavarian cream Tfa sweet cream Tfa whipped cream Tfa dairy Fa meringue Fa fresh cream tfa vanilla bean ice cream Tfa vanilla swirl tfa dulce de leche. Who out there has a nice yogurt base they wouldnt mind sharing as a reference point?
I use a base of 4% TFA Sweet Cream and 3% TFA Vanilla Swirl. Easy to mix, and when paired with fruit flavors it gives a good yogurt-y basenote.
You're not lying! I made a mix of Strawberry Ripe, Sweet Cream, and Vanilla Swirl and it's mufuggin' delicious!
Add in 2% graham cracker for a mean strawberry cheesecake
I've said it before but vaperstek yogurt flavors are the best that I've ever tried. Their strawberry yogurt is spot on, and their peaches great as well. I combine it with a little lemon meringue pie to add some tartness and mouthfeel. Really worth the price.
If you don't mind diacetyl, FA actually has a delicious Yogurt. It's good with literally any fruit I've played around with. FW also makes a Yogurt, but I've never had it.
FA yogurt is WAY better than FW. I dont mind the diaceytl so I use fa and its fucking delicous and spot on, I definitely like it better when it has steeped for a couple weeks. FA yogurt, fa bilberry, and little blueberry wild form tfa tastes pretty close to the downside by schwartz (blueberry yogurt). It plays really well with fruits, my next challenge are dessert yogurts like key lime pie, peanut butter, cobblers, etc... And its super concentrated so I use 1-2% rather than 10% of fw's nasty candle yogurt.
I loved FW yogurt right up until the candle reference. Thanks for that haha! You aren't wrong tho, there is a slight waxiness.
There is, after it steeps its not as noticeable to me. Im vaping on a simple blueberry yogurt with FW yogurt from when i posted this two months ago and its really smoothed out. I also added 1.5% sweet cream and .5 FA fresh cream to help bring out the yogurt notes. So I think this flavor still has potential. I was vaping on fa yogurt for a while but I actually noticed it made my lungs feel tight, so I decided it wasnt worth the risk for me personally. And after I looked at how much diacetyl is actually in it I was really surprised.
Oh wow I didn't even know FA had a yogurt. Do you know who sells it?
I got a 30ml from ecigexpress when they first got it on their site. It's not part of FA's e-liquid line, as they only have diacetyl-free flavors in that line, but I don't mind it myself. My easiest (maybe best) recipe with it was a simple strawberry yogurt.
TFA Strawberry Ripe 12%
FA Yogurt 3%
Sucralose 2%
It's pretty high on the strawberry, but I mixed it max vg, and that was the percentage I felt it needed.
Their was a thead a while back with someone making a yogurt tasting juice by accident by using too much FLV Coconut. Here it is. Maybe it is a starting point for making a yogurt w/o resorting to FA Yogurt.
I just noticed TFA has a new (to me at least) "Greek Yogurt" flavoring. I haven't tried it yet but you might wanna grab some :)
Its the tangiest flavor ever man. I think it would be best used at 1% to add tang to a recipe. As a yogurt base, there's no way haha. It makes me kinda gag. I bought 4 oz of it and Its just chilling waiting to be used for something.
A crucial with any yogurt taste (if we talk greek yogurt taste) is the coolness. A yogurt without Koolada IMO is not a yogurt. I believe this is essential. From then the point is what type of yogurt you wish to recreate? Other important note is the sour so you may have to look for a cream with a sour taste to it. As strained yogurt has a lot of sourness in the taste. It may be a bit of reverse engineering here though i guess it would be a nice shortcut to decide first the type of product and then go to recreate it.
Do you know of any yoghurt recipes that include koolada (and sour)? Preferably something with apricot or mango, looking for something beyond the usual strawberry.
