Eucalyptus diy juice
submitted over 10 years ago by johnmydietsoda

I recently picked up an eliquid from an Australian vendor with a flavour profile described as Eucalyptus with a little fruitiness.

I was wondering, do you folks think it'd just be straight up Eucalyptus oil mixed into the VG/PG, or some sort of food-safe variant?

Mostly curious cause I want to know what I'm inhaling, but also considering it as a simple diy juice, and would be curious on your opinion of what concentration you'd suggest I start at if I wanted to DIY it? Note I have relatively little DIY experience beyond mixing doublers and combining different juices into frankenstein mixes.

Thanks in advance for any input!

Inawera makes this, which is an amazing flavoring and I highly recommend it. It's pretty likely that's what was used, along with other flavorings for the fruit part. I like using it around 3%

I find myself wondering though if those diy flavourings are just a droplet or two of eucalyptus oil with flavouring and vg or pg added, ya know?

I wouldn't think so. I feel most eucalyptus oils would be something you wouldn't want to vape, but I'm not really sure.

Depends on the extraction but most eucalyptus oils should be fine. Some stoners will mix their hash oil with it or straight up extract into eucalyptus oil.

That's interesting, because I remember as a kid doing hot water inhalations of eucalyptus when I was sick, eucalyptus in hot water, the steam coming off the water would carry the eucalyptus vapor for inhalation. Idk.

I have not. Inawera's is the only one I've tried and don't really have a need to try different eucalyptus, as it's really good.

Damn! Wizard Labs doesn't have IN eucalyptus and Bull City is out. It says this one contains triglycerides, which is not something you want to inhale, correct? I tried your melonlyptus and it was BOMB.

#### Section 8. Safety and toxicity of article Eucalyptus oil:

>

>If consumed internally at low dosage as a flavouring component or in pharmaceutical products at the recommended rate, cineole-based 'oil of eucalyptus' is safe for adults. However, systemic toxicity can result from ingestion or topical application at higher than recommended doses.

>The probable lethal dose of pure eucalyptus oil for an adult is in the range of 0.05 mL to 0.5 mL/per kg of body weight. Because of their high body surface area to mass ratio, children are more vulnerable to poisons absorbed transdermally. Severe poisoning has occurred in children after ingestion of 4 mL to 5 mL of eucalyptus oil.

Ingestion =/= vaporization.

I'm aware of the distinction, I was just pointing that fact out.

> Inawera concentrates

Are these particularly good or bad?

It wasn't Vapeking that I got the liq from, it was Steam-e-cig. I have no idea what they use.
