Found some cheap drippers(around $4.50 each) to test flavors
submitted over 10 years ago by senorchip

Igo w authentic drippers from trianglevape for $3.00 each. I bought two & with shipping it came out to about $9 or $4.50 each. I know they aren't doge or mutations but for a basic dripper shipped from usa this is a pretty good deal.

I do not work for them, I just wanted to let you guys know about it. Happy vaping!

I've heard the igo w4s are actually pretty good attys, and they are on that site for 3 bucks as well.

the igo-w and igo-w4 have the same deck.

Yeah but the domed top cap helps with flavor

perhaps, i didn't really notice a difference between my W and W4. i think the W4 looks a lot better than the W though.

wow. and they're even pre-drilling them to set sizes. awesome find.

Ya & the guy that owns the site is really cool as well. I had a goblin that had the positive screws too close together & he paid return shipping to send it back. Really nice cool dude.

Yeah 2mm airflow holes sounds pretty perfect. I have an original Igo w with the tiny-ass airflow holes and scratched up the topcap trying to drill it myself.

I drilled out my original Igo-W to 1/16" (1.5875 mm). It was kinda tough, but the stock holes were comically small. Getting an Igo with 2mm holes already for $3 is an incredible deal. They're quality little drippers.

I had a good laugh when I saw the stock holes. Drilled 'em out to what looks like 2.5 mm and that's perfect for me.

Still using my good old Igo W regularly!

Nice! I love the IGO-W's and the plus version as well. I have a bunch of drippers, but for some reason, I always go back to the IGO's - I am using one now, as a matter of fact. No bells or whistles, they're just solid, inexpensive, authentic drippers. Thanks for posting this - I picked up a few.

No problem. I saw this & thought you guys on this sub would love a cheap dripper so you can try different flavors without pulling the cotton & washing between flavors.

I have never built on one. In your experience can you build .5 or lower on these to produce some decent clouds? The igo w plus has 2mm airholes so I think it would be able to keep up but I am not sure.

I've built down to .08 on them without issue - not that I've done that a lot, but they can easily handle the low builds... although you may want to drill a few extra airholes if you're going that low. I routinely run mine between .15 and .3 ohms without any modification to airflow. They're very solid attys.

Difference between w and w plus? Looks like the plus is 22mm. Maybe the original is a little less? Flavorwise about the same?

The Plus' deck is larger, and the stock air holes are 2mm. Flavor-wise, it might be slightly better on the original version because of the reduced chamber, but not enough for me to say it's a really noticeable difference.

Ahhh the ol' Igo W4. My first ever dripper. This fucker has seen some crazy times in vaping, and can still hold it's weight with the big guys in terms of flavor. I just bought 5 because it was only 15$ and that's amazing

The IGO-W was an awesome dripper. It was my first one but it worked just fine once you opened up the air flow. For the money it was just your typical 3 pin dripper and it worked great.

what size did you drill the airholes out to?

Quick question.

I just made this thread to ask my question about a tasting setup. http://www.reddit.com/r/DIY_eJuice/comments/33zcka/question_trying_to_research_a_tasters_setup_rda/

Can I get some opinions on whether these Igo W atomizers would be what I need?

They should be fine for your purposes. /u/smoakleyyy said the igo-w4 is better for flavor because of the domed topcap but really any version you get should be fine.

So are these rebuildable? If so, what sort of wick material should I purchase?

Yes these are RDAs. I like cotton in mine. I use some Japanese cotton pads I got on Amazon, but you can get a roll of it from CVS for like $5.

Just make sure it's 100% unbleached cotton.

Sterile is preferred, but you can use cotton balls too if you want to boil them. Again, make sure it's 100% cotton.

In fact, would this be a better choice? http://trianglevape.com/igo-w4-2-0mm/ This is the 4 that /u/smoakleyyy recommended, if I'm not mistaken. They are $3 as well.

Also, my KBOX only has presets for the wattage. 5, 13, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40. Is this going to be okay?

1 points

by senorchipover 10 years ago

Yes that is the 4 that smoak talked about. At this price I would get a couple different ones to try them out. So with these they are meant for dual coils so when you build you will have 2 coils firing which will half your total wattage. So if you vape at 20 watts 10 watts will go to each coil, at 40, 20 watts to each coil. You will be fine.

Check this video out to help you understand rebuilding & the igo w itself https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5aPmlQe-zXY

$10 or $30 shipping to Canada. :*(

by senorchipover 10 years ago

damn that is high. Fasttech will probably be better for you. I saw some good looking drippers like the quasar for like $5 bucks. https://www.fasttech.com/product/2173405

I mean, I really don't need any more atomizers, but who could resist $3? Oh well.

(Coincidentally, I have a quasar.)

I still use debridged 306 atomizers for testing. One drop right on the coil is all I need :)

http://www.madvapes.com/306-2-5ohm-atomizer-7873.html

Note that 510 drip tips won't fit a 306 but they're easy to come by as well.

Here's a pic of a stock 306. They can be debridged in about ten seconds :)

The igo-w is a great RDA for a first timer. The flavour is good, the deck is easy to do basic builds on. I would highly recommend.

I ordered two Igo W4s off Trianglevape for 3 bucks each and they arrived yesterday in good time. And I was blown away by how much flavor I get on the W4, I think the domed top cap helps out a lot.

What gauge wire do you use? I used 26 to do dual coils & it was really difficult to get the wires through the positive post.

I used 24 gauge and just made a simple single coil, and I struggled a bit getting the kanthal through. Can definitely see how you would struggle to get a dual in there
