I can't believe how much money I am going to save by doing this, not to mention that it is also a lot of fun. I'm hooked. I spent just under $50 for everything.

I bought flavors based on another user's recipe (included in album) and I can't recommend it enough! It's a nearly perfect clone of Cuttwood's sugar bear.

All flavors were ordered from: http://www.ecigexpress.com Nicotine, VG, PG, and EM are from: http://www.nudenicotine.com

I highly recommend these suppliers. I ordered everything (at a great price) on Tuesday night and it all arrived this afternoon (Friday).

Last big tip that had me searching a lot with no definite answer is about syringes and needles. Some people say you can get them at pharmacies, and others seem to have big problems. If you have a local "Tractor Supply" store near you, head there and get syringes and needles for real cheap. My syringes were 29 cents for a 3 ml/cc, and 49 cents for a 6 ml/cc. 6 pack of 16 gauge needles was $2.99. They do not carry blunt tip needles, but at that larger gauge, they really do not present much danger (at least to me). If you want, they can easily be filed down.

Super excited for you. I normally just read alot here but being as I also got my first DIY supplies today AND made my first mix, I share your happiness! Unfortunately, I DIDNT have such a great experience. I made three very simple juices to spec and they are rather tasteless. Hoping they will come together in a few days. I used Heartland Vapors for my stuff but I'm deffo going to look into your suggestions. Thanks for sharing and congratulations and please do keep posting your experiments!

Congrats to you. At least when a run isn't good, you haven't wasted much money or materials! Already I've found that higher concentration of VG definitely mutes the taste a bit. Along with that, the higher the nicotine, the less flavor it will have. One thing that I read (and followed through on), was to order a sweetener and it will almost always bring a dull/crappy flavor to life. I got some ethyl maltol for my recipe so I decided to add a little to a couple of juices that I had laying around and it definitely made them taste better and a more enjoyable smoke. Hope that helps. Good luck!

Thank you so much for this! You may have solved my problem. I did make my juices 50/50. And only 3% nicotine. As luck would have it, I DID buy a bottle of ethyl maltol so I will try some of that. I'll make up a couple new batches and try a higher percentage of PG and add the sweetener. Don't really want to go up in nicotine. I vape so much that I need to keep the nic down. I'll bet the other tips you gave me will help alot.

Hello, neighbor! I have 2 good friends in your area, one of whom is an avid vapor and has been helping me with my mod builds. It's doubtful, but do you know a Hayden?

What's the deal in Canada? I'm sorry I don't read alot of news up there. Are there strict rules with ordering supplies?

Newbie here, just ordered a diy kit and like you really can't wait to stop spending $20+ for 30 mil of e-juice! The cuttwood is one that I'm wanting to do as well. Did you go with the sugar cookie v1 or v2? Also curious as to how much a diy version of that juice 30 mil? cost you? Thanks!

Sorry I'm just now seeing your comment. I used v1 in my first recipe. I haven't done the exact math on how much I'm saving, but it is huge. I made a 177 ml bottle last night and the total cost was under $8. If you're a Cuttwood fan, you MUST make this Unicorn Milk recipe. The guy has a wild story about how he got the recipe, but whatever the case may be, it is spot on.

Good luck! Let us know how things turn out.
