I have yet to try it yet, as my flavors are still in the mail. But, anyway how do you think this would sound?
6% Blue Raspberry (TFA) 3.5% Citrus Punch (TFA) .3% Coconut Extra (TFA)
Let me know what you think!
Here's my recipe for Baja Blast: http://dot1ml.com/mixer/7rd25p8
I think it's pretty tasty!
It sounds like you should try it and let us know if it's any good.
Will do! I've been thinking of the perfect baha blast recipe for a while, especially since I mess around at work with cloning it with the drinks we have there.(dairy queen) I normally will just add a very small amount of coconut syrup, 3/4 of the cup with blue raspberry arctic rush, then the rest mountain dew. I figured that this would make a great eliquid flavor too, so I'll give it a shot!!
I thought baha blast is a tropical lime flavor? Don't see any lime in this recipe, other than citrus punch. Anyone try this yet??
>I have yet to try it yet
Redundancy department of redundancy checking in at the check-in.
but for real, I'm excited to try this. thanks for posting :)
TFA Blue Raspberry is a horrible flavor. I tried so hard, but it's just too harsh and doesn't taste like blue raspberry at all. This is a flavor I will likely never use again. If you do try, I'd start at like 1%. Maybe I had extremely bad luck with mixing it, but...
There are some recipes for mixing together a blue raspberry slush flavor, and osdiys has their own blue raspberry flavor as well.
Small bit of koolada is essential in any soda recipe IMO. Almost adds in that carbonated bite to any soda eliquid.
Have you tried the champagne trick for that? I haven't delved into beverages yet.
Ok i think people are confused by Taco Bell's marketing descriptions and it is misleading them. Lets break it down a little. Baha Blast is Mountain Dew + Blue Gatorade or Blue Powerade. Maybe with a little extra kick of citric acid. Mountain Dew is just lemon lime soda with a touch of orange juice. Blue Gatorade / Powerade is an acai flavor with heavy citric acid.
So you'll need a mountain dew type / citrus soda flavor , you'll want to hide acai in there, and you'll want to tart it up strongly with either extra lime or extra lemon.
TFA Citrus Soda, TFA Acai or whatever a good acai, and FA Lime Tahiti or Cold Lime Press is where I'd begin. Maybe if the flavorings dont react the same, add in a hint of coconut extra like 0.2%. If you want a more authentic mountain dew, build it from scratch with lemon and lime and a stronger orange peel type orange to give it that touch of orange juice feel.
Baja blast is a "tropical lime storm" according to taco bell's website. Ive never heard of it having blueberry, im sure those recipes taste great but thats not very accurate. A reddit user posted a recipe a while back that is pretty awesome, and i can never remember his name:
Citrus punch tfa 6%
Key lime tfa 1%
Lemon lime ca 1%
Pineapple 1% tfa
Coconut extra tfa .5%
Cantaloupe 2%
I tweaked the percentages and subbed some flavors i thought were better but the cantaloupe idea he had is what really gave it a authentic taste imo. Try it out and see what you think! Fa coconut would probably be better here but i havent revisted this recipe since i started using fa. And 3% coconut extra is too much, that stuff is potent hence the "extra" i personally never use over 1%, it can overpower a mix very easily.
( tried to edit like 20 times so either its not working on my mobile or I forgot how to reddit)
I thought I put .3% for the coconut xtra, my bad. Ill try that one out tho!
