Long story short, a couple of months ago I re-did my ingredients database and accidentally left the nicotine content of my base at the default 100mg.
Well I use 48mg base, so I was measuring into my mixes at just under 1/2 strength. Been vaping 1mg unknowingly for a while now, lol. No wonder my juice is so smooth.
Today finally realized that it seemed like I wasn't needing much nic for a usual recipe and I opened up the ingredient details for the nic-base and saw my error.
have you noticed an increase in the amount you vape?
I vape like a fiend either way. Main reason I got into DIY was cause I went through 20ml a day heh.
Exact same story here. Another thing I love about DIY is I can adjust my nic down by .1mg/ml every time I make a new batch. Since it's such a little change and I vape constantly no matter what, it's the perfect way to wean off nic.
I do keep a 6mg mix around for vooping. :x
I'm like yourself in this respect. I had to go DIY due to the amount of juice I was getting through. I've nearly always got a mod in my hand. I dropped my nicotine slowly, started on 18mg three years ago and am now on 3mg. I'm happy with that, and as vaping has become a hobby as opposed to a way to stop smoking I'll stick there and enjoy the occasional nicotine rush when I feel like it!
I did the same thing but went from 48 to 60. I wondered why my stuff had much more TH, and figured it out fairly quickly.
yeah - im on 18mg atm... thinking of dropping to 12 or 9mg...
I'm also thinking of getting a mate to mix 3 bottles with a myster one of them being at zero just to see how much nic plays vs the smoking / vaping action / hand to mouth vibe...
I can say, as a person who vapes both 0 and 6mg nic, I definitely know when I switch between the two. 0mg has literally no throat hit.
Plus I can feel the difference if I chain vape. The nic will hit you or nothing will happen with the 0mg.
I feel like the mystery bottle would be easily identified in your scenario.
Im stepping down from 3mg to 1.5, irritable as a motherfucker. Can't believe such a tiny increment affected me just as much as every other step
I wonder if some of it is just the psychological effect of knowing you dropped down? I mean I didn't even notice when I cut mine in half by accident.
Idk i think I'm just sensitive to it. Dropping down from 12 to 6 left a 10" hole in my wall. I normally a super patient and laid back person but nicotine deprivation ca. send me into rampages. People suggest it may be psychological, but I'm unable to control my emptions like I am regularly.
I haven't messed with anything besides 3% and 0%, just started noticing that I could cut back from 3% on my 22ga build in a new doge, thing spews vapor like none other.
I think you mean 0.3% ... 3% would be 30mg/ml
Indeed. I just think of it in percentages in my head and forget about the decimal because let's be honest, wtf kind of unit is mg/ml, it's like inches all over again. I don't know any smoker that kept track of the Mg's of nicotine from each cig they smoked, idk how we jumped onto such a gnarly number as a standard. /rant
