.
I give it a week until I see an Instagram post teasing the next flavor for a premium line "The Taste You Can See"
this is horse shit deleting the recipe , why bother putting out then deleting it??????.
He left the subreddit and deleted all of his posts because someone made a recipe name "Statutory Grape" and the mods wouldn't delete the post.
edit: the name was "Jailbait".Dude got all pissy, asked OP to change it, he didn't. Told the mods, they don't give a fuck. So he got on his high horse and left.
Much respect to what you're doing here!
I mixed this up and it doesn't work for me at all. It's not bad by any means but it doesn't taste like Cinnamon Toast Crunch. The "cereal killa base" is out of place and both the TFA Brown Sugar and FA Cinnamon Ceylon are way too high and it cuts off any nuance.
You are THE MAN. Or Cat. I've been playing around a bit with this myself and everything I did tasted more like cinnamon danish than cereal. I'll mix it up tonite if time permits and provide feedback. Thanks for posting this. I just got the Ceylon a few weeks ago and haven't tried it yet and I'm betting that's the key.
Awesome! I have all these so I know what I'm making tonight in addition to the cereal killa clone!
I think I stumbled across a pretty decent honey nut cheerios while messing around with milk and honey. I used fw hazelnut, tfa dairy, Inw honey, FA caramel, and FA fresh cream. So now I've got 2 projects. A plain milk and honey and I want to perfect the honey nut cheerios.
Have the recipe for the cheerios?
This is what I stumbled on. Again I was trying for a milk and honey and not really cheerios so it still needs tweaking to be more cereal-like.
- FW Hazelnut 1.5%
- FA Caramel 1%
- INW Honey 1.5%
- Orange Cream 1%
- TFA Dairy/Milk 4.5%
- FA Fresh Cream 1%
- TFA Graham Cracker (Clear) 2%
First thing I would do to alter it is drop the orange cream and then drop the honey by .5%-.75%. Also probably up the Hazelnut to 2%. I think it also is missing an almond flavor. The only almond-ish flavor I have on me is Marzipan, so I will probably be trying that out in it as well. So what my next batch will be will look more like:
- FW Hazelnut 2%
- FA Caramel 1%
- INW Honey 1%
- TFA Dairy/Milk 4%
- FA Fresh Cream 1%
- TFA Graham Cracker (Clear) 2% (optional, gonna try with and without)
- FA Marzipan 1.5%
Another ingredient to consider here is definitely Acetyl Pyrazine. I think it would help immensely. Maybe at .5-1%. I might also try subbing the Dairy with 1.5-2% FA Meringue.
Got it all except FA Cinnamon Ceylon - damnit! Any sub for that, like Cin Danish Swirl, or Cinnamon roll which I do have? sigh...oh and btw thanks for your hard work! You rock
What kind of setup do you use? Every time i try dripping anything with ceylon in it, its extremely overpowering. I dunno of i have a stronger batch or what but i diluted it in pg @ 1 drop per 10ml. I use that solution at 1% max. Sounds like a winner though I'll give it a shot. Thanks
Mixed this up earlier today. It is good, but I think the TFA hazelnut or the brown sugar is throwing it off for me. I'll let it sit to see if it calms down and post back. I may try with FW hazelnut as well. Thank again!
So I made this and the crunch berries two days ago. Didn't really plan to try them yet, but I had the CTC with me, so why not? I'm using a dual coil 24g 6 wraps with KGD in a derringer coming out to .3Ω on a Sig 150 at ~60watts.
The first day it was not even close, but I didn't expect it to be. Today however, it is shaping up very nicely. It's not CTC yet, but I definitely taste it better now than I did the other day.
The cinnamon is dominant, and I'm not getting any milkiness at all. It has an odd flavor coming through at the end, and I'm not sure what's causing that. It's almost vegetative. I'm assuming it'll mellow out as it steeps, or with a new wick.
Those comments aside tho, it does have a grainy texture to it, and I did not use the AP. The cinnamon taste seems about right, it's just strong. I know that's just a result of not having steeped tho.
I look forward to trying it at the end of the week and seeing how it comes together.
Tried mine again on day 4 and I think it is pretty spot on. I was opposite of you, I couldn't taste the cinnamon at first, only hazelnut and brown sugar. Now it has all blended nicely with no hazelnut taste. For the record I made like the op and added the 2 drops ap per 15 ml. Have been using it in a lemo drop 26g 20w.
This is really similar to what I ended up with. Based loosely on the cereal killer recipe that is floating around
2% yellow cake (FW)
2% meringue (FA)
2% hazelnut (TFA)
1% fresh cream (FA)
1% (0.1%) honey 10% (FA)
0.5% cookie (FA)
0.5% cinnamon (FA)
