Once again I am here to bring you all another recipe!
This time, while I will still be using FlavorWest flavors, I will also be using my own tea extract (or steep, if you prefer) as a base for this juice. The method can be found in detail [here] (http://www.reddit.com/r/DIY_eJuice/comments/2y0u99/i_did_my_first_coffee_flavor_extract_last_night/) in a former post of mine.
Without further wait, here is the recipe!
6.5% Tea Extract Base
3% FW Lemonade
1 drop FW Sour per 6ml of juice (5 per 30ml mix)
1 drop FW Cotton Candy per 6ml of juice (5 per 30ml mix)
This juice is a shake and vape. No steeping required! I've been on the hunt for a good AP juice for a long time and I finally got around to making my own. I am very pleased with these results.
I hope to continue to bring on recipes for those with even the tightest of budgets. Hopefully within the month I will be releasing a single "mega" post with, at minimum, 10 recipes using only FW Flavors or self extracts/steeps.
Cheers Reddit. I hope you enjoy this juice!
Edit: For those of you who prefer more lemonade in your AP (ya dirty dogs) simply cut back 1% of the Tea Base and add another .5% of lemonade as it's very very potent.
Looking forward to it. Thanks man! I'll have to try out my own extractions...
Any issues you have noticed with cracking tanks?
Its nice that most are going glass now, but there are a lot of plastic ones out there.
What tea did you use to extract. I did a cold extraction in both pg and vg with twinnings earl grey. I have an extensive loose leaf collection (for a college student anyways). I'm just curious what tea you used and which way you extracted it
Honestly I just used some basic Lipton black tea bags, but I hope to get some more exotic teas in shortly to see those turn out.
I would check out adagio the tea is good and the prices are lowish. I will not be using any teas with actual bits of fruit in them as I have heard that that is a no no.
Dr. Farsolinos has commented on tea extraction : "Tannins are in reality phenolic compounds. Tobacco cigarettes have such substances, but heating them leads to release of phenols which are quite toxic".
Is this possible with fruit tea? ie twinings fruit teas, i do hope its viable
Thanks.
As long as they do not contain pieces of real fruit then you should be good to go. Unfortunately I am not familiar with Twinings, but their flavor selection looks phenomenal!
