There was a comment a bit ago about TFA Cinnamon Spice, and as I've been pushing it, I thought I should write something. Such a great flavor!

It's strong. It's absurdly strong. I can't even imagine it at 1%. One 'drop' for 10ml (0.005%) is a good primary cinnamon vape. One drop for 20ml (0.0025%) is Mmm, there's a nice warm hint of cinnamon there, I like how it brings out the vanilla!"

By way of example, though, this works pretty well:

Spanish Custard

Vanillin (10% solution) 7%

E. Vanillin (10% solution) 7%

TFA Vanilla Custard v2 3%

TFA Cinnamon Spice * 0.0025%

Sweetener ** 0.15%

(* Really. One little drop per 20ml. Sooo strong, really good. It takes a good long steep to mellow even at this concentration, going from "Cinnamon with vanilla" to "Spanish Custard" at about a month.)

(** I mix Sucrulose and Stevia from powder, but either would be fine. 3 drops for 20ml)

On the upside, it's really economical, and doesn't taste like Cinnamon Roll/Danish, which I'm deeply tired of.

This explains some things. I actually thought it was a combination of cinnamon and something else. I mixed it at 5% with brown sugar, and it made for a tasty, but potent, vape. Next time I'll cut it down a bit.

When did they reformulate? It has always been strong as hell from my experience. And definitely one of my favorite cinnamon flavors, too.

I don't think they did. They have 5 "cinnamon" flavors; Cinnamon Danish, Cinnamon, 2 versions of Cinnamon Red Hot, and Cinnamon Spice. The first reference I read to it, here or ECF, was a warning about potency, so I only bought the small TFA sample. From the link: "very strong - try at 1% or less (use very sparingly)"

It's really just like freshly ground cinnamon powder floating loose in your vapor. I note that unlike the Cinnamon Red Hot, it doesn't have the plastic tank warning, but does have the allergy warning.

I wonder how they make that much cinnamon essential oil water soluble without any surfactant. (http://shop.perfumersapprentice.com/componentlist.aspx?sku_search=345959). The other components don't act as surfactants AFAIK. Maybe PG does (I know PPG does)? Any chemists around?

Having said that, I do love me some cinnamon, have to give it a try. Thanks for the post.

Could you mix as a 10% solution in pg to make it a little more manageable to use? Just an idea.

Yes, also frequently done with other potent flavors like FA Dark Vapure or FA Honey
