The main reason I come to this sub is to see new recipes, and also to see what people do with flavors that I have. I think a weekly thread dedicated to discussing uses of individual flavors (ones that people brought up in the thread, the thread wouldn't be dedicated to one flavor) would be a fun and useful thing for a lot of people on this board.

Few months into my DIY journey, but I have already purchased around 30 different flavors. One stand-out flavor for me was CAP Cinnamon Danish Swirl. It is a very versatile flavor, best described as a cinnamon bun with vanilla icing. I put this in almost any recipe needing extra creaminess or a hint of cinnamon. It is also a really great stand alone flavor, around 6-10%. My favorite recipe with this flavor is a cinnamon custard, which uses around 7% vanilla custard and 5% cinnamon Danish (and a few other side flavors).
Another flavor I've come to enjoy is TFA Dragon Fruit. A great shake and vape flavor which honestly doesn't require much steeping. Most TFA fruit mixtures I've made require a week or so for the flavoring to settle down, but not this one. I mix the dragonfruit at 5% with sweet cream at 3% and vanilla cupcake at 2%.
Cinnamon Danish Swirl always tasted like dry cinnamon with dry bread crumb flavor to me, but to each his own eh? I always have head great things about FA Apple Pie, but when I finally got it it tastes pretty much like pie crust and cinnamon, with maybe the slightest hint of apple (mixed at 3%). Even adding some FA Fuji or FA Apple, I still cant figure out a way to get the apple to pop. Anyone have any ideas?
My dream flavor is something like Jim Dandy by Ragtime Vapor, its an apple pie flavor that I have been trying to recreate since day one....

^^ That is one of my top juices. I love it. It's great as a shake n vape but after 5 days the AP calms down and its to die for. He also has a TFA version on the site.
I thought I saw HeadInClouds mention FA Walnut at like 0.5% to make the apple stand out. Not sure if the information is correct or not though >_>
FA Apple Pie is a good flavor but it is more of an "Apple Pie Crust" flavoring. I use FA Apple / Fuji in a 2:1 ratio. Example is 4% FA Apple / 2% FA Fuji. To really make that flavor pop I add FA Pear to back up the apple. Usually .5% - 1% is enough to encourage the apple to shine more.
Did you try mixing the Cinnamon Danish Swirl with any creams? On its own it kind of tastes like Mount Baker's sticky bun (although I admit I prefer it with the custard).
I have 16ML of Capella's Apple Pie flavor on the way... I hope Cap's is better than FA's. We are trying to make an Apple Pie a la mode. Here is the recipe we're basing the recipe off of.

Awesome idea. I have plenty of flavors i would like to discuss. Esp stuff like oba oba, summer clouds, tfa honey suckle. Odd ball flavors. Saline has been fun to use lately.

What have you been adding it to? I've been thinking about incorporating it into some of my recipes. Can you use it to impart saltiness to the juice? How much do you use?
It's great in so many things. Sweet fruit vapes love it. Most bakery or desert vapes go well with it. I haven't used it for a salt taste per say but if you talk to anyone that ever had any education on cooking they will tell you it is the most versatile and needed ingredient in a lot of dishes.
I'm working on a Clementine grapefruit marmalade. It didn't start coming together until i added saline. I'll post it here later when im done revising it.
Oh, I definitely understand the necessity of salt in carrying flavor. lol Sugar works in a similar way, and while I know that sugar and salt react to different receptors on the tongue and they work very well in conjunction together, I just wasn't convinced the minor amounts you put in juice would provide an appreciable difference. However, that being said, based on your testimony here, I will pick some up and try it. I look forward to seeing your recipe as well! :)
Oba Oba is an amazing addition to fruit flavors; unfortunately I got no idea what flavor it is supposed to be lol.
Let's talk about Bell Pepper (TFA) :D I've got a bottle coming and no idea what to use it in!

That's what I'm talking about. Way to think outside the box! And that recipe sounds pretty good. Once my outstanding orders come in, I'll have all the flavors needed to recreate it as well. So I know what I'm making this week! :D
