I'm trying to make a banana peanut butter cookie flavor and I'm kinda there. Not enough peanut butter, but most importantly, there's not enough "bite" to it. It's just too light. There flavor profile is almost where I want it, but the volume is definitely not. I want a much more fuller flavor and I'm think maybe MTS Wizard? Have any of you used it to make your mixes have more "weight"? Also I think I need to add in either more hazelnut or another peanut butter, or drop the banana because it's not quite the star. The banana still comes out on top and I want that flavor as the background. Let me know what you guys think.
it seems like your overall % is a little high in my opinion. May mute some flavors.
also. try a little saline. you will be pleased with the outcome.
or your money back.
Well I first tried it at 8% PB and it still wasn't enough pb, so then i tried 10%, still not enough, and this is my latest recipe. I'm pretty sure this just isn't the right combo for a thick PB. I may try what /u/snowman5555 said and mix more hazelnut and caramel, then add TFA PB at 5%. I think caramel will sweeten up the batch just perfectly. And as for saline what perfcentage would you recommend for a heavy bakery flavor? The salt might bring out these notes quite well.
Why the heck are you constantly getting downvoted? That's good advice right there
If I were to guess, it would be the "Hey, I'm drunk guise!" and the "I'm going to clone something, so I made this thread to let you know I'm going to tell you about it after I actually do something, probably in five parts, like my series on tasting things!" threads in the last 24 hours.
But maybe it's abdada thread fallout. shrugs There's been a ton of downvoting this week.
Hazelnut+caramel gives a pretty nice peanut butter flavor. usally 3% caramel+1% hazelnut gives it a creamy peanut buttery taste.
Brown sugar extra from tfa, I'm a cookie fanatic and I know exactly what you're missing From experience.. hands down, Brown sugar tfa is the shit for fullness
yup, I feel like that's what it needed as well and just ordered some along with about..um...10 other flavors. I have no will power
Try adding some Marshmallow. Users swear by TFA Marshmallow, but I'm personally fond of CAP Marshmallow. To thicken up a juice, I add 1% to a maximum of 2%.
There isn't enough peanut butter flavor cause that's entirely too much %wise. I have a pbb flavor of my own and I use the pb at about 5% (also using tfa). It's plenty of pb considering how mild tfa banana cream is
So you're thinking just to turn down the PB to about 5-6% and drop the banana a little, or steep the banana out? Are you getting a nice rich PB flavor at that percentage?
Keep the banana cream. In my recipe it's: Pb 5% Banana cream 4% Bananas foster 4% Banana nut bread 5%
I find tfa caramel original to be a really strong flavor that gives a juice of mine a bold creaminess, almost too much actually at 1%. I'm wondering if in this one recipe it is amplified by another of my ingredients. Idk.
Also consider a small amount of tfa Brown sugar extra, maybe around .5%.
