Need help, recipe loses flavor over time.
submitted over 10 years ago by Cornelius_Talmage

So, I love The Godfather by Faded Vapes. But at 30ml a day I just can't hang. I've tried making my own and it tastes almost spot on as a shake and vape on the first day. But after it steels for a day or two, the flavor and sweetness disappears. Any pointers?

3% TFA Dulce De Leche.
3% TFA Vanilla Custard
3% TFA Tobacco.
1% TFA Whipped Cream.

Could be under flavoring. Those flavors steep OUT. If you are making a high VG juice, try increasing the flavor by 2-4% total. Might be too strong on the first couple days, and just right after a week or so steeping. Good luck!

Thanks, I will give it a shot... I've just been making high VG juice. The Faded Vapes is 70/30, I think? I might give that a try as well and see if it helps. Til my next Wizard Labs order, I'll try adding more flavoring and see how that works out.

Could be cause by over flavoring possibly. I'm looking to Dulce De Leche as the primary suspect. Perhaps bring it down a percent and see if instead your recipe gets better with age

What's your pg percentage at?

Just whatever is in the flavoring. Mixed with max VG. I'm going to get my hands on some PG and see if that helps keep the flavor at all.

Yes. You'll find out the max VG guys that can't get flavor are ding dongs. Pg is needed. I suggest let your max VG be 75%. I was once a ding dong too.

Where are your storing your E-Liquid? What kind of bottles are your using? what is the temperature you are storing them at?

I don't think this is a % problem I think it has to do with something else but i need the above info please :)

In a light proof container, inside amber glass droppers, with a room temp of around 70 degrees Fahrenheit...

You could just be getting vaper tongue. Try vaping some other juice for a little then go back. If it still is gone then I think you need to up your flavs a bit. Or add some additives.

You know. I had same problem with a lot of my recipes. And the biggest culprit is too much flavor. After the steep the flavor sits in a lot stronger than before. I would recommend to half everything and let it sit for a week.
