Flintstones vitamin recipe
submitted over 10 years ago by Lessblue

I made this by accident but thought I'd share it anyway. I consider this a novelty juice, definitely no ADV. It doesn't taste very good but it is strikingly similar to those chalky chewable children's vitamins. So do it for nostalgia, do it for April fools day, just don't waste a lot of your materials on it.

Edit: let it steep for at least 24 hours. This stuff tasted alright as soon as I made it but didn't get the vitamin taste until the next day.

LOL! I would never in my life! Those vitamins horrified me as a kid with their taste and me being forced to take them. As my mother didn't realize I would rather swallow a pill the size of a golf ball before eating those

Same, but I was a candy fanatic, didn't matter if it tasted good, really. Even today the only vitamins I will remember to take are the gummy candy kind for kids. :)

I wouldn't have made it on purpose but I figured someone reading this might be bored enough to give it a try.

I bet it's "chalky" because of all of the TFA cherry flavor you added. I bet it's pretty dry too. Those smell great but are the worst, and they overwhelm everything IMO. I'm talking strong enough to overpower cinnamaldehyde. I add like two or three drops to 30mL for a background note because it's so strong. You should try out Inawera's Cherries flavor if those are the only two cherry ones you've tried. I'm sorry if my comment comes off as prickish but I really hate those cherry flavors.

Not prickish at all. I appreciate the suggestion.
