My FLV Tasting Notes: Coconut
submitted over 10 years ago by [deleted]

A quick copy/paste from my tasting notes. I'll try to hit a flavor every day or so. Hope you find it useful.

Past Notes:

Mellow, fatty, extra-creamy coconut. No suntan-lotion. More subtle than expected. Almost butter down around 1%. Consistent through temp range.

Try at very low %’s for buttery quality where desired. [Note: users have reported coconut flavor coming through strongly at 1%] Above 2% for coconut flavor. Try with Dulce de Leche, Key Lime & Toasted Almond. Sub for TFA Extra where high notes are not needed or combine the two. Should find a lot of use for this. Versatile.

Coco-Lopez Double Cream (now with extra fat)

[edit: added note]

Thank you and /u/Botboy141 for your notes on these flavorings! You guys rock. Are you planning on doing the tobaccos as well?

Edit: I had a derp moment. You already did them! How did I miss that. Thanks again!

Is this the same coconut taste that I am getting with their coffee? If so I'll have to add this to my list.

I don't have those samples in solution just now but I'd say, yes -- only the Coconut is way, way more fat & buttery.

Agreed, kind of tastes like coconut oil to me which is fine. I plan to try this as a buttery note in some custards and what-not when I have the chance.
