I've been looking for like 3 hours.. I know there are a few different variations. What seems to be the most popular though?
Could It be Grants?
I did a quick search using the search function in the sidebar and got these results
I hope you find what you are looking for amongst them. Maybe you'll find something better than Grant's :-D
E Liquid Recipes has a search by rating feature.
That might be of use. (You just click the blue text and your browser will take you there ) :-D
Perhaps you're talking about Oreo's Vanilla Custard?
This is the end-all custard for me personally, been making it for months. But it should be noted he has since come up with a new version of the recipe. Haven't tried it yet, but I can't imagine how anything could be better than the version you linked. So damn good.
maybe /u/daath 's g vanilla custardy II. It is a good vanilla custard, and there is a lot of love for it here.
There are many great Vanilla Custard recipes floating around here and elsewhere, but here's my simple recipe if interested...
- CAP Vanilla Custard V2 @ 10% (CAP Vanilla Custard V1 if you don't worry about diacetyl, etc...)
- TFA French Vanilla @ 2%
- TFA Malted Milk @ 1%
- TFA Orange Cream @ 0.5%
I'm currently using V2 but it seems everyone is saying V1 is better. I had health concerns so I went with the v2. Have you tried both? What are your thoughts?
Cap v1- 7.5-15%
Dulce De Leche- 2%
Optional- 1-2% Em
Has been the easiest and tastiest custard i've found.
