So I was trying to make a creamy chai latte flavor since I love to drink them. All of the chai e juice I have tried has ended up too spicy and not creamy enough. One of my creations ended up tasting nothing like a chai latte, but actually ended up tasting like a cola gummy. It is actually a pretty decent vape, but just not my thing so I figured I would share it here:
8% - Chai Tea - TFA
4% - Vanilla Bean Gelato - TFA
3% - Vanilla Custard v1 - CAP
3% - Bavarian Cream - TFA
1% - Sweet Cream - TFA
1% - Whipped Cream - TFA
Let me know what you guys think! My wife and I thought it was pretty spot on for a cola gummy.
That's a beyond crazy. I'll have to skim the MSDS sheets for the traditional TFA flavors in Cola Gummy and see if I can identify any overlap that might be triggering that perception. I know cola tends to have some spices that are also in clove, as well as vanilla, and Cola Gummy recipes often include Bavarian Cream, but that's a big shift in flavoring profiles. Funny how this stuff happens, eh?
I always got more of a cola or dr. pepper/mr. pibb flavor from TFA's chai tea. I've mixed pretty close to your recipe here before and you're totally right. I ended up adding 2 drops of gummy candy TFA to the 30ml batch I made, re-steeped it, and sold it to a friend who loved it.
Any recommendations for a more accurate chai flavor? I am not sure I have seen any vendors besides TFA have it.
no idea, I tried every combination of fruit, dessert, and coffee/drinks flavorings and nothing made the TFA chai more like a tazo chai tea (which was my end goal). haven't tried any other chai flavoring.
Did you steep it at all? Maybe the flavors haven't had the chance to intermingle enough. I've noticed problems with creams and custards not tasting right without a good week's steep or a few hours on some heat.
If you're still looking for a chai flavor, get a sample of NN's Chai Tornado.
It's extremely potent, so mix sparingly. It's very clove-heavy, but overall a nice vape after a good long steep.
