Flavorah's Vanilla Custard (And More!)
submitted over 10 years ago by NotCharlesManson

Yes, I jumped on the recent Flavorah hype train. Do I regret it? Fuck. No.

At the behest of /u/botboy141 and /u/returnity, both of whom I respect greatly in this community, I decided to give Flavorah a try. I ordered Vanilla Custard, Strawberry, and Tropical Punch. I received those three, plus Blueberry Muffin, Banana, and Creme de Menthe (thanks Brendan!) as samples. I won't go into details, because I think /u/redruffensore is covering that perfectly. What I will go over is Vanilla Custard.

I know, I know..it's been driven home that this is probably the best vanilla custard out there. And I think it might be. I've tried FA, CAP v1 and v2, TFA, etc. This isn't a praise, however. I noticed something as I was testing the flavors (all 5%, max VG) I received. Vanilla Custard tasted like something suuuuuuper familiar that I couldn't quite put my finger on. I racked my brain for hours trying to figure out what it was. I finally remembered. Kid Cuisine Vanilla Pudding.

Other than the hit of nostalgia, go get this now. Support /u/flavorah as they're trying to get their foot in the door of an already saturated market.

I'm actually having my wife get a few. You know. For the kids.

Grown men would never ever eat dinosaur-shaped food. They certainly would never make noises and pantomime the carnivore eating the herbivore and then biting off the heads of one of the nuggets. That's kid stuff. Totally.

This thread is missing a recipe. Since you gave out that Unicorn Milk recipe, I'll give you one of mine

Third World Custard

Ingredient|ml|g|% :---|---:|---:|---: Nicotine juice 100 mg (100% VG)|0.9|1.13|3 PG dilutant|6|6.22|20 VG dilutant|20.1|25.35|67 Caramel (FA)|0.15|0.15|0.5 Coconut (FLV)|0.15|0.15|0.5 French Vanilla (CAP)|0.75|0.75|2.5 Jamaican Rum (FA)|0.15|0.15|0.5 Vanilla Custard (FLV)|1.8|1.8|6 Totals|30|35.7|100

Strength: 3mg/ml

PG/VG: 30/70

Flavor total: 3 ml (10%)

Add 0.3 - 0.5% Banana (FLV) if desired, but try it without it first

If you're up to it, add about 1-2 drops Flu Cured Tobacco (FLV) per 10ml (you can add the banana too)

You're awesome! I'll have to pick up more flavors to try this, but I look forward to it.

I didn't get any either. But it's cool, they're not expensive and I got almost the entire line anyway.

I'm waiting for my flavors to show up. They're on the slow boat from CA to NY. Should be here Wednesday.

If you get Banana, don't sample it at 5%. Treat it like TFA's Ripe Banana.

Thanks for posting this. I'm really happy to see that Flavorah is getting some traction and some recipes and remarks are getting posted. They deserve a chance in this market.

Hah, that was my first thought when I tried it as well. But yeah, it definitely tastes like a nice vanilla pudding. I'm a huge fan of it and can't wait to mess with it more.
