My FLV Tasting Notes: Creme de Menthe
submitted over 10 years ago by [deleted]

A quick copy/paste from my tasting notes. I'll try to hit a flavor every day or so. Hope you find it useful.

Past Notes:

Dead-on Creme de Menthe. Soft, creamy vanilla with mint. Well-balanced. Well-restrained. No off-tones

Works solo as a soft ADV-style ‘nilla-mint. Try under more exotic herbal top notes. Might pop anise flavors. Look up creme de menthe cocktails. Try fattening-up with creams

Wow. Just Creme de Menthe without the alcohol. Buy listed.

What %?

How long did you age?

Not to speak for red, but I think those questions may be answered in the methodology link in OP.

4-5%, no aging. See the "Purpose & Methodology" link above for a full description.

Not sure how I missed that part. I just bought a couple flavors from Flavorah so I appreciate the reviews.

My immature palate gets chocolate from the creme de menthe. Do you get any chocolate at all?

Not OP but I mix it at 3% and I definitely do. It tastes just like an Andes mint to me.

It is exactly an Andes mint! First thing I thought of when I tried it. Vaping it fresh was decent, but after a week of aging, it is fan-freaking-tastic. I think I'm going to experiment by combining it with some of my favorite creams. FA Vienna cream, fresh cream, or maybe catalan cream. I really have to give credit to Flavorah for coming up with some delicious flavors that, while wonderful on their own, are ripe with possibilities for building upon.

I agree 100%. Really glad I took a chance on the sampler. Let us know how it works out with the creams..I bet any of those would work well with it.

There is a bit of a white chocolate quality to me

I'd agree with the white chocolate flavor. I definitely get chocolate but not a dark or milk chocolate. My pallette is not well refined though.
