So how much menthol, by weight, can I cram into PG?

I know the standard is a 10% solution but since I just mix for myself I don't need to standardize with other recipes. I like maxVG so I'm trying to minimize PG.

How much can I reasonably expect to stay in solution? Can I get 20% or 30% by weight?

You can get around 66% menthol by weight (give or take, much higher and it'll start recrystalizing too easily).

If you want to avoid using PG entirely, you can do roughly the same amount in pure grain alcohol too.
