Dimethoxymethane
That's gotta be bad for you. I mean, it has the word meth in it....

I mean, the whole damn thing is just loaded with chemicals! I'll only buy organic strawberries from now on, after seeing this! /s
But...but e-liquid only has 4 chemicals in it!
Think of the children. Don't strawberry...Not even once.

So like, is any of this a concern for our health?
So far, the FDA has approved Strawberries for digestive consumption but we have no idea what rendering the chemical properties into a vapor does to the human body when inhaled. We have to assume that while using to heat to vaporize the chemicals contained in a strawberry while in liquid form is certainly safer than actually combusting a strawberry, it's still not as safe as just eating a strawberry.
I said all that in jest but it is true as we all know it should be applied to vapor products.
The real question is, at what point are the things that the FDA is attempting to do under the premise of "protecting the children" now becoming a fundamental impediment to individuals' personal right to freedoms.
So, say for example, we find there are harms to vaping, why can't we continue? I realize there may have to be warnings (don't get me started on the nerfing of the world and our overly litigious nature of society), but why can't people do something if it's not hurting anyone but themselves. They aren't a danger to others while "under the influence of nicotine" so what the difference between what BT has been allowed to sell for decades? Say vaping is every bit as bad as smoking, by some inexplicable fault in the scientific process overall that every study to date has overlooked, who gives a fuck? Why do I need a government telling me one unhealthy habit is worse than another. We're adults, I don't need no stinkin government hand holding here. We're all researching things. I don't need some overreaching government body trying to protect the idiots that would just as soon turn around and claim total ignorance. Let the courts sort it out if 50 years from now major vaping conglomerates are involved in master settlements. Wouldn't the governments find that perfectly enjoyable so they could suckle on that once BT's may have run dry?
/rant. Sorry, this doesn't even apply to the context anymore, I realize. I just got carried away. I'll just be leaving now. Carry one.
No need for apologies, I'm sure there are many of us that can agree on what you stated above. Honestly, the fact that people always stated, "there's only 4 ingredients in eliquid!", always bothered me. This is because I knew damn well that the flavorings had to be made with numerous other chemicals. While I'm not worried so much about them since we eat them and drink them daily, what does concern me is how the lungs handle metabolizing them. I kind of justify it by comparing to smelling different foods while eating them, just in a much more concentrated fashion. Like you said, maybe there is something horrible about vaping we are all overlooking with our science, but in my opinion, the fact nothing is combusting (for the most part, ie: dry hits), it has to be way further down the risk scale.

After a year of vaping only, I can feel lung improvement. I can taste and smell like I haven't in a decade! I get over sicknesses so much faster! (and getting sick is rarer now too!)
These are pretty much the undeniable proof I need to continue vaping. I still feel that we should all be turning down the nicotine and/or moving towards a world where we don't vape either.
The truth is this: vapor is probably worse for our lungs than clean air. This fact is up to science to prove, but many sympathize already.
