I thought I'd update you guys on some small changes to ELR.
On the flavor details pages on FLV-flavors and most TPA-flavors, you'll find a link to the flavor MSDS-sheet.
In case you were wondering why some of your TPA-recipes now look weird: Most of the flavors now have a specific gravity. For example Toasted Marshmallow (TPA) weighs 1.092 g/ml. This is reflected in the recipes unless you have specified a gravity yourself.
Ah, and I thought I'd mention, that there are two give-aways on the forums. One for European residents, and one for US/Canadian residents.
EDIT: Following the feedback of /u/returnity and my own thoughts, I have changed the site, so specific gravities is an option that has to be selected in the user profile.
Hmmm... while I support this, may I recommend making the specific gravities an optional extra to turn on at will?
Here's my reasoning:
Across the board, due to the constraints of sharing recipes with those who mix by volume and the differential numbers people would come up with weighing their flavors (as well as the lack of published data for many vendor flavorings, which persists to this day), we came to the conclusion that when we mixed and shared recipes created using weight measurements, we'd assume 1g/mL for all our flavorings. This is how 99% of recipes found online are formulated, and this is how nearly everyone mixes. As such, if you change the default mode for the recipe calculator on ELR, it's going to make a lot of people's recipes come out slightly wrong. not substantially so, unless we're discussing SC flavors like Flavorah, where the variance can easily be 25% lower than 1g/mL for specific gravity, but even in TFA's flavoring line, they've got some that dip down 10% lighter than the generally recognized standard.
Don't get me wrong, I think this is a great feature to add for advanced users like myself and others, but for a lot of people this is just going to generate confusion and frustration if it's not able to be disabled without manually specifying gravity for all the flavors.
Thoughts?
Great feedback. I was actually against specific gravities as default, for those very reasons. But in weak moment, when I set up the MSDS-link, I thought I'd just put the weight in there as well.
I will make a checkbox on the user profile, to use specific manufacturer-added gravities. I like that better, even though it's more work.
Thanks for the gilding, and even more, thanks for all the work you do on ELR. I personally think it's great to have this resource for the community, though I remember you catching some flak from haters when you initially set it up (maybe it was the vapecrafter tie-in, who knows), I've always been in favor of the idea.
I know it's a lot of work to compile this information and stay on top of developments, and I for one want to make sure you know your work is appreciated and valued. Cheers, mate!
I've changed it to optional now - Default off. Thanks for the feedback again. I actually rejected the specific gravity thought earlier exactly because of this.
Yes, some of the VU-crowd accused me of selling their recipes and earning millions! :P To me, it was just a cool feature, that I was almost certain wouldn't be used much. And I was right. I get a small percentage of the sale on VC - and to this date (since what, January?) I've earned $16 I think :)
Yes, maintaining lists like that is just hard boring work. But hopefully it won't be so bad. I can't wait until I get the duplicate flavor thing under control though!
Anyway! Thanks for your kind words!
X1 for ELR. What a great site. Need to give you moneys for doing it.

Thanks man! I'm just happy people find it useful! :)
Do you have a blog post or Reddit comments that talk about the technology used to make ELR? It's a fantastic site and so useful. I'm curious about what's going into it under the hood.
Thanks for the updates. Your site has really come a long way. Can't wait for the duplicate issue to be fixed to get more results from my stash. I recently ordered some flavor bases with VC and recieved my order in three weeks. I am very happy with the product and only wish they were upfront about lead times. It really did save me a lot of hastle finding all of the flavors i would have needed from several sites.
