Adventure time flavours
submitted over 10 years ago by gardvar

Hi everybody!

First of, I'm a beginner with mixing e-juice, so i don have a whole lot of experience with whose extracts tastes like what. I'm constantly learning, and I think, and hope that I have some potential for contributing to this awesome community.

Okay, let get to it. I'm a bit of an adventure time fan, it's so deliciously weird and playful and its so full of flavourful and funny characters. As is often the case I'm intrigued to try and combine my intrests.

So I thought I'd try my hand at making some juices loosely based on some of the characters. I would really love it if you guys were willing to give some input about what characters and flavors that you think could would be cool.

Here are some of my thoughts so far:

princess bubblegum - eeeh, i dunno, maybe bubblegum. On a serious note thou it has to be that right kind of bubblegum, i would also like some more depth perhaps a hint of citrus and cream

Ice king - extreme ice and maybe a hint of something berry, like rasberry or blueberry

Marceline - red liquorice maybe a bit of black liquorice

The Lich King - This one is hard.. I want a powerful, ancient feel. Moist rich and with a solid throat hit. Maybe tones of incense, lime and cloves in the background, but i don't know what the main body should be.

Tree trunks - Apple pie and custard

Lemongrab - Lemon.. too much lemon, want it really sour, maybe a hint of bitterness and or almonds.

Lady rainicorn - probably something like starburst / skittles and cream

Banana guard - Banana chocolate marshmallow

Peppermint butler - Peppermint and cream

Lumpy space princess - Another difficult flavour. Perhaps grapes, but mostly because she looks like grapes. It should be quite bold. still on the lines of juicy fruity berry flavors and a bit of sours

I really enjoy the complexity that spices add to soft flavors like cream, honey, or apple. I'd also suggest tinkering with lavender and honey flavors, they can really take a good, simple vape to the next level

Thank you, that sounds like some solid advice.

For the Lich King what about a tobacco custard blend?

I have a hard time enjoying the tobacco blends, but maybe just a bit of cavendish style (like you said for the earthy tones). There is an awesome shisha called zaghloul that would have been spot on. The custard is a great idea, something really overpoweringly creamy, but preferably without too much vanilla.

If you're not a tobacco fan maybe some sort of nut flavor would work. Still gives you a warm earthy note but without the tobacco flavor.

Now that is a mighty good idea!

How would you describe zag? I was always too afraid to try it.

hmm, describing tastes is always so hard. First of its a very dry, dark and strong tobacco so it gives a thin dry smoke with a real solid throat hit that leaves you spinning. The taste is along the lines of dried dates, dark sugar/molasses, nutmeg, cloves and a hint of citrus (orange or bergamot)

I found it very pleasurable back when i was smoking deathsticks. It's a bit too much for me nowadays.

perhaps tobacco, custard, dark chocolate in the main body. And lingering spices like cloves, cinnamon, oranges and sandalwood.

If i could ever pull that of lol

Now that does sound good.

it'd be cool if you could work in absinthe, though i'm not sure the actual flavor fits here, the connotation works perfectly.

Good idea, but not an RY4 blend.

1 points

by ns2680over 10 years ago

Definitely not RY4. Maybe something that resembles a Cavendish pipe tobacco. Something earthy.

Nude nicotine honey tobacco is the best I've ever had.

Finn and Jake are doable as well, Jake brings to mind a caramel, butterscotch cream type flavour, Finn is a blueberry or maybe black currant with marshmallow.

Finn and jake are hard, mostly because they are main characters, they are so dynamic. I think you are right with the butterscotch and marshmallow thou, or something along those lines. I will probably be pondering them for another week or so.

They are a bit like gunther, so dynamic, a bit hard to put down in flavors, and i really wouldn't want to mess them up.

I think Jake's gotta have some taffy. Banana/lemon/mango taffy cause hes stretchy!

I get the feeling Lumpy Space Princess would be either Blackberry, or Grape.

I feel a grape soda with a hint of ginger to account for her sass

blackberry is a good idea, maybe with some pineapple too.

Sandwiches!

What about Gunter? He's the most evil being in existence, so it'd have to be something deep and dark... Dark chocolate perhaps?

1 points

by gardvarover 10 years ago

I gave a lot of thaught to gunther.. If i would try it would probably be something along the lines of milk and mint. But I just cant do it, not yet. I couldn't mess something up and put his name on it, that would be unforgivable

Anise/black licorice.

I have a PLUID-type recipe that might be brilliant for this.

Some other characters that could be cool but haven't made first draft are Gumball guardian, Chose Goose, Abracadaniel, Cinnamon Bun, Prismo, Cosmic Owl, Grob Gob Glob Grod, Death, Flambo and Magic man. All of these are really great and have some potential, especially Cosmic owl, Prismo and Flambo (who would make an awesome big red style cinnamon)

When thinking of Marceline, Bloodbath from Mt Baker Vapor comes to mind.

I forgot about flame princess, she has some awesome potential. I'm really looking forward to making a spicy juice.

Cinnamon red hot, Clove, orange and capsicum.

You know how vaping is highly threatened by legislation and propoganda against it? Including a major argument from the opposition along the lines of, "if its flavoured its going to attract kids", to which the general response is, "why are there flavoured vodkas and condoms". If they started making adventure time flavoured condoms... Well you can see where I'm headin with this. edit

But then they could sell his juice for fund raisers instead of those shitty $1 chocolates.

Adventure time is a bit strange in a way, because it is made from both kids and adults. Colour funny gimmicky characters and a simple quest/plot that appeal to the kids. But they often state a point or bring the main story forward in a plot that goes over the kids heads. Avatar was the first to do this, but i think adventure time did it better
