I make my ADV in 240ml batches, so it had been awhile since I mixed anything. Got out the scale for the first time today and mixed up another 240ml batch. What I learned:
-
First, this is the only way to mix. Very cool.
-
I break my VG-based nic down into 30ml glass bottles when I get it. Can pour straight from the bottle and still be accurate.
-
DW and flavoring? I used a 20cc syringe instead of a pipette, which probably wasn't the best way to do things. Next time I'll get close with a syringe then finish off with the pipette. Too hard to get accurate with a syringe doing one drop at a time.
All in all it worked great. Only thing I had to wash was one syringe plus the empty 30ml nic bottles. Highly recommended.
You will never go back to volume!
What scale did you use?

American Weigh Scales LB-501. The scale worked great.
Im looking to buy scale to mix juices in like 15 to 30 ml bottles.i found this American Weigh Scales LB-1000 Compact Digital Scale with Removable Bowl, 1000 by 0.1 G on amazon cost less then LB-501. What you think are they suited for this?
Would you say this is a good scale for mixing ? http://m.harborfreight.com/hand-tools/scales/1000-gram-digital-scale-60332.html want to try it hear it's way better than volume

Two things that'd make me hesitate - first, it doesn't look like AC power is an option and you might not want your display timing out if you're mixing, and the accuracy to 0.1 gram. For small batches something a little more accurate might be better, but I think if you can live with those two things it's fine :)
