Use very small percentages of flavouring if you are doing multiple flavours in a mix. I just made a great mix of 1.5% 1.5% 3% 2% and 1.5%. Every mix I have made with higher percentages has turned out horrible. Don't get frustrated if it doesn't turn out good the first time. If it tastes like feet it probably needs a lot less flavour. Try single flavour mixes before you try something complicated. Capella's Vanilla Custard V2 is great at 20%.
Anyone else have any words of wisdom?
Great advice. I, too, have only been mixing for a couple of days, and have yet to cross the 10% threshold for flavoring, and I have been enjoying my results. Luckily, no feet tastes for me yet!
My two biggest successes so far have been tfa berry crunch + tfa fruit circles + tfa marshmallow and then a caramel apple made from, quite simply, tfa caramel candy and tfa apple.
My first batch of flavors were all from tfa, but I'm definitely planning on grabbing some others soon. Caramel apple is the one recipe I want to perfect first, and then a good Samoa cookie (or should I say "caramel delight")
Kudos on jumping in and giving back!
Depending on what brand I use and how complex the recipe; I go from 6 - 20 percent. Flavorart only I try to stay under 10 percent, but some of the weaker flavors (Some TFA, Capella and Flavor West) I hit that 20 percent threshold. I think flavorwest may have been the worse purchase flavor brand wise and they are so weak on alot of their flavors.
what do you think about flavourart apricot and strawberry % ? I put 5% of apricot in premade hisvape 60/30 18mg base and I can't smell apricot even after 5 days of steeping, still smells chemicaly....
