##Thread is CLOSED - don't post or vote - Results TBA##
** Edit - Here's the usually stickied monthly recipe thread - also available in the sidebar.
SO tired of seeing these posts. I DO understand that new mixers want to get the most versatile flavors and no duds. I ordered TFA Honey on my first DIY order and haven't used it since, and some other gems that were waiting took a while to discover.
What I want to accomplish in this thread is that everyone post some "universal" good flavors that can be made into a variety of good vapes. Format is <Vendor> <Flavor Name> (do not use the brackets: e.g. "TFA Ripe Strawberry" is a valid entry); anything not following these conventions WILL be removed. Enabling contest mode so you won't see vote totals until the end. Vote yes if the flavor you love is listed; post it if it isn't. I'll be pinning the post for maximum attention.
My goal is to create a list of best flavors for new DIY-ers, and I'm hoping to maybe get 1 or 2 vendors willing to list this a a newbie pack for easy ordering. Final list will go in the sidebar so maybe we can be rid of this incessant post. Thanks for your input.
Final Edit - Contest mode is off so you can see the voting results sorting by top. If the numbers don't seem to match the results, it's because some of y'all dimwits (I mean that lovingly of course) had multiple entries for the same flavor. I went to the trouble of combining these for the final tally. Thanks for participating.
TFA Pear
This is such a good "rounding" flavor for so many recipes. Great addition.
I like to do a background of a mixture of TFA Pear, Strawberry Ripe, and Apricot. Those three together make a really delicious below the hood exhale for any Primary fruit you use.
TFA Strawberry - Best stand alone flavor out there IMPO.
Not Strawberry ripe? just plain strawberry? IMO ripe is more versatile.
> Best stand alone flavor
Ripe is piss standalone IMO. I agree that Ripe is much better when mixed with creams, but for a traditional starting point for most new vapers, I think Strawberry is super simple to work with in most straight fruit vapes which is where i see most people starting.
TFA Açaí
I'm curious how you use this. I was never able to get any good mixes with this flavor.
3 or 5% standalone; citric acid optional.
5% Cap Blueberry
2 or 3% TFA Açaí
2% Citric Acid (10%) Was a pretty solid mix, IIRC.
I had an 8-ingredient mix where 1% Açaí really rounded it out. NudeNic Melon Madness was a key-ingredient in the mix as well at 2%. Melonberry Madness I called it, buncha melons & berries. Lost my recipe though when my last harddrive crashed. My mixing partner still hasn't gotten me an E-SATA cable to even attempt recovering that drive yet. -______-
I'd start anywhere from .5% to 3% in mixes(depending upon the recipe you're working towards), working up in point 5 increments. It's pretty easy for Açaí to quickly start dominating everything in the mix; kinda like Key Lime(FW) or Lime Tahiti/Lemon Sicily FA.
When I get my resupply of it, I'm going to clone this into ejuice like I once did with Lindt Intense Orange Dark Chocolate bars. I'll more than likely end up posting it here once I do.
