Their prices are pretty good and their bottles come in a pretty wide variety different colors-- which is unique to me, I've never seen anything other than clear, blue, and amber.
They're popular here, for sure, but I have had really bad luck with their droppers not staying closed. I gave away almost all my previous Amazon bottles to people who didn't have the money for them, and they've all complained about the droppers being loose (even though I warned them all ahead of time).
YMMV, but I think it's possible they're an outlet for a larger manufacturer, and you may get GREAT bottles, or you may get average/crappy ones.
Well, that's a bummer, but thank you so much for posting this.
Again, YMMV -- there are a lot of people on this subreddit who have had great luck. I personally just had really crappy luck.
Here's the thing: when I buy something at a much lower price than retail, I accept the risk. I don't go and complain about it to the seller or the world. For me, I figure $1 for a solid glass bottle is reasonable, and if it's bad, I will ask for a replacement. But when the prices are half that, I know I will probably see some duds.
Yeah, this is a bummer. I ordered their amber 15ml on Amazon and the droppers don't seem to be a problem. I might still give them a shot- I really like the red colors.
The 15ml ones from GBO have been MUCH better than the 30ml ones, for sure, but still have a high leak rate for me.
Basically, the droppers twist on fine, but then slowly untwist themselves. It is so consistent with cheap bottles that I just gave up on ordering them -- my last batch of premium bottles was 100% perfect in sealing and only had one dropper with a cracked tip. They credited me the entire bottle on my next order.
Piggybacking on this- After having ~60 amber bottles that didn't stay sealed or leaked constantly I moved over to plastic out of frustration. No complaints so far.
I use LDPE for myself, as well, unless it is for home use, then I store in glass but accept they'll leak.
My premium glass bottles ($1.15 per bottle) have never leaked, ever.
Regarding the colors - that's pretty cool.. But I recently found out that the green color of the Adirondack bottles chips off... it's a paint or something, not actual colored glass.
It's only on the outside, and I'm not sure if this is the case with the bottles at this provider... but it's something to be aware of.
IMHO, anyone looking for large quantities of bottles (300+) should be ordering from China instead of US suppliers.
To those that are going to say that Chinese supplied glass is riskier than American supplied glass, I will comment that upon comparing the bottles I got from GlassBottleOutlet, Heartland Vapes, and China, all of them look the same/feel the same/droppers fit the same. Plus, bottles from every supplier should be washed before use, anyways. The ones I received from Heartland Vapes were definitely the dirtiest when I got them (they had a foggy coating on the inside of each bottle).
The difference? .5 oz clear bottles with safety droppers from China cost $0.20/piece in lots of 300 once shipping is added on. And, DHL Express shipping = 4 to 5 days from ordering to my doorstep (actually comes faster than ordering from the east coast of the US to the west coast) with an average of 1-3 bottles broken in transit.
Do you know a good supplier in China? All the bottles I've got were very dirty upon arrival and you had to screw the rubber bulb to the caps and assemble the droppers yourself. The bottles from China typically had more dings and permanent little white marks on them and seemed to be worse quality. I also had bad communication and support from the 3 companies I worked with there. The prices I got from GlassBottleOutlet ($0.39/15ml bottle $0.49/30ml bottle with free shipping) were actually better or the same as most of the Chinese suppliers I've seen. This is for amber glass bottles with child resistant droppers.
I can find out the specifics on the pricing of amber bottles. The one I got were clear so the price was likely less than those of Amber ones. My second lot actually arrived today and gave me enough confidence to post this to ensure it was not a one-time deal.
We run a Vape shop and I'm getting the bottles from the supplier that we buy all of our clones/Chinese products (aspire, Kangertech, innokin, eleaf, etc) from. The bottles came with a few scratches (probably 20ish bottles had noticeable scratches when I opened the box) but they looked perfect after a quick hand wash.
And in regards to the droppers, I had to put them together myself when I ordered from heartland vapes, too, and it now takes me about 25 mins to do 300 lol.
If you're interested in my supplier feel free to PM me :)
