Citric Acid
submitted over 10 years ago by Tr0janlVlan
I know there are a lot of questions about citric acid, but I couldn't seem to find the answer I was looking for. I found in one thread that you would dilute 1g more or less of citric acid crystals in 9ml of PG. What would the optimal VG to citric acid crystals ratio be?
Comments
9.5ml VG / 0.6g Citric Acid for a 5% solution.
Awesome! Thank you.
5% or 10% solution in PG is ideal - most recipes account for a 10% solution
Yeah a 5% in VG is the absolute most you can really get into solution. It takes forever to solubilize too. Make sure you crush the crystals to powder before putting them into heated PG/VG. Honestly, you use so little of this, you might as well make the soln in PG.. it's insignificant amounts of PG to your mix.
