I've been DIY'ing for a while now and i've been making some complex juices. Has anyone pre-mixed all their PG flavorings, so a person could essentially just add your PG, VG mixture, and the flavoring in 3 steps. Just curious ( I think i know the answer but wanted to get some input for rapid production )
Thanks
Follow up question: Do the flavors start to steep before they're diluted with more VG/PG, and have the nic added?
Not in a way that would be beneficial to a final liquid. The aging process requires the addition of pg/vg for the flavors to become properly dispersed and homogenous in the mixture and nicotine has an oxidizing effect that changes and enhances certain qualities in flavors (why certain juice lines will not do zero nic liquids).
e-liquid-recipes.com just added a new feature that lets you do this with any of your recipes. The little gear icon on the recipe page that lets you edit the recipe has the option "make flavor base". What this does is basically makes your recipe a single flavor concentrate and you make a new recipe with just that single flavor. It will also tell you what percentage of your new flavor concentrate to mix at so it matches your original recipe. It's a really great feature that I've been using to do my bulk ADV batches and is such a time saver.
That was exactly my next question, didn't find a calc that will let me just make flavor base. But i've been making the zoochberry cream of eternity's and it's delicious. And others like it too...
Just click the blue wrench, and click "Make flavor base" :) On the flavor base page you can set how much you want to make.
I do this as well.
So if I want to make 4 ml of bas, how do I figure out how much vg/pg I need?
Not sure what you mean, but let me take a crack at it.
When I mix my bases, I plug in a calculator for "X" ml of juice (However much I can make with the amount of raw materials I have on hand), and then just mix those quantities of flavor only together, creating my base. After that, just use the base as a single flavor mix of sorts.
I'm having a hard time getting my thoughts together, but I hope that makes sense.
I would love to be able to buy peoples bases for some recipes, to see if I like it before buying a bunch of flavours I wouldn't normally use.
I just whipped up zoochberry cream, it's delicious.
Is that the sucker punch clone?
Not sure, but I think that is a separate recipe.
