Not sure where I went wrong... Nana cream clone.
submitted over 10 years ago by Mattyskywalker

So I started making my own juice about a week ago, most every juice has turned out great except for my nana cream clone. I used this recipe -

Clone of 'nana Cream from Bombies Pear (TFA): 6% Strawberry Ripe (TFA): 5% Banana Ripe (TFA): 3% (@ 20 drops/ml) Banana Cream (TFA): 0.5% (@ 20 drops/ml) Honey Dew (TFA): 1% Juicy Peach (TFA): 0.5% Marshmallow (TFA): 1% Sweet Cream (TFA): 1% Sour (20% in PG) (TFA): 1% It has a weird peppery/harsh after taste. Did I screw up on the sour? It's the only juice I've made that has had this happen, so I don't think it's my nic. Any help would be appreciated!

You might want to check out the clone thread (half way down the page) as there are 2 good recipes for a nana cream clone. link

That's an odd clone anyways. It won't taste anything like 'nana cream. I've tried that one before.

Try the fizzmustards 'nana cream clone

Second person to direct me to that recipe, thank you!

Not a problem! It's very close to the real deal!

I use and recommend that recipe as well. Sometimes I will add 1% Pear to it. It's the best Nana Cream clone that I have come across.

Try fizz's 'nana cream clone. It's fucking brilliant.

Awesome, thanks! I wish I would have known this before I bought a bunch of random ass flavors to specifically make that clone recipe! Lesson learned I guess.

I use 1% TFA Sour 20% instead of citric acid and is top notch ;-)

I do it without the citric acid, and throw in a small percentage of whatever random fruity flavor I feel like that day. It's certainly awesome either way.

Luckily, a lot of those flavors you bought go into other good clones and are just good flavors in general.

At least all of those flavors that you mentioned will be useful in other recipes.

I finally picked up some reg strawberry I had previously used strawberry ripe. I never tasted the real deal but preferred it with the ripe myself.

Does it almost have a clove like taste? It could be the banana ripe.

Somewhat yes, it's only on he exhale too... It's steeped for about five days, not sure if it needs more or not.

I usually steeped that mix in a crockpot for a few hours on warm. Maybe it needs more time for the banana ripe to settle.
