Tips for 0 nic juice?
submitted over 10 years ago by downtideFrugivore

I am pretty much down to 0 nic now, but I am struggling to get any throat hit at all. I have tried raising the PG-to-VG ratio with no success. Are there any additives or tricks I can try to help get a 0 nic juice feel more like 12? I prefer fruit flavours but I'm willing to add other things to the mix if it will help. Also I am in the UK so will need to order from a UK or European supplier.

Try some ethyl alcohol for throat hit. Very small amount.

Some Koolada or Menthol can help add throat hit to zero nic juice. I doubt it'll feel like a 12mg though, unless you put a shitload of menthol.

What were the PG/VG ratios you tried?

I always used to prefer 50/50, tried 70/30 and even 100% PG. 70/30 seems to be the best compromise.

OK, so I am wondering if there is some specific aspect of the nic throat hit that you're not getting from the PG - personally I have been unable to vape any 70/30 PG/VG that I have tried because of the taste difference (sharper, harsher) compared to a 70/30 VG/PG of the same flavor. I know many people describe nic as adding a peppery taste, is it possible you are looking for that in your high PG juice specifically? Just trying to understand.

Yes, the "peppery" taste describes it well, I think that's what is missing.

Look up some FlavorArt recipes on the sidebar. They are based out of Italy so it shouldn't be a problem getting. I find that their flavors can turn my throat raw sub ohming, especially anything with Cocoa in it

That tickle is the cocoa burning. You're probably getting a throat hit off the formaldehyde.
