I'm looking to start a small business selling E-Juice online, and I want to know everything I legally should/have to do first
Not an expert, but I assume for one to have a LLC and a clean room
I have been told that most juice makers dont have a "clean room" its just a room with stainless tables and they only make juice in that room. It seems like most treat it like a restaurant would be. Clean the work area and wear gloves.
That is about all i can do from home. I tarped it off with 30mil plastic, ceiling and walls, put in a SS table as well as put an air purifier in the room. I also sealed the floor. All this just so i could make juice for family and friends.. It was a fun weekend project tho.
I assumed an LLC would be a good idea, I also don't know how to obtain a tax ID.

Clean room is most likely not required by law as e-juice is not regulated by the FDA.

Also, when filing for an s-corp or c-corp, tax id registration usually comes with the package.

Liability insurance. Don't overlook or underthink this. You're producing a product that in concentrated form is toxic. It only takes one guys dog chewing his bottle of 24 nic juice to land you in a world of financial liability.
Yeah, there's no way I'm going uninsured. Maybe by making no nicotene stuff for awhile, which of course won't sell nearly as well, but I'm definitely seeking insurance.
That's a bit of potential trouble, though. Selling only zero nic juice will, if you acquire any kind of fan base, lead to a fan base who thinks of you as a zero nic vendor. People could take it the wrong way if you start introducing nicotine later on. Just work at getting insurance before you start.
